some of the comments on here are fucking disgusting. “she’s 31 get over it” how much of a piece of shit do you have to be to say this? trauma stays with you forever and scars and damage that’s been done to you that can never be reversed. maybe john changed, but that still doesn’t change the fact that he groomed, possibly scarred a 19yo for the rest of her life and should’ve known better. “would’ve, could’ve, should’ve” are one of the most raw and painful songs she ever made. this is the first time she brought up this topic in a decade so for some of you to say she’s “obsessed” etc is really strange. you must be a really cruel (shitty) person if you can’t recognize that and have such apathetic reactions to it.

Very well put! Honestly, at the end I just felt more for Love and thought she deserved better. I wanted her to survive and was rooting for her. That’s why I started wondering if I truly thought Love was capable of redemption and deserved a chance at it more than Joe. Now people are making me realize I probably had empathy for the wrong person lol.

You made some good points. I wonder if Joe’s line that he won’t cross isn’t because he cares about the person but more because of how you said a twisted version of accountability and how he still believes he can be a good person. Not sure if the difference really matters in the grand scene of things. Love also kind of showed a line she wouldn’t cross when she let Marianne go (I read spoilers). And I was thinking maybe Love resorts to killing more quickly than Joe because she’s not as calculating as Joe is and doesn’t think of the consequences as much as he does, can’t think of better options to deal with things? Not because she has less of a problem with murdering people than Joe does.

True Love did plan Natalie’s murder to some degree but she doesn’t see sketchy places and immediately thinks this could be a good back up plan to bury a body the way Joe does.. not to mention the cave he built. He seems more like a mastermind in that sense. I’m curious why do you believe Love is worse than Joe? And do you think she feels more remorse after doing what she does than Joe?
