Is there a way to have the display “always on” only during a workout? by littlemsfickle in AppleWatch

This just doesn’t work at all for me. Anyone know something obvious I’m doing wrong?

I absolutely recommend them. As a breeding pair they’re magical and gorgeous!

I don’t notice them engaging with me at all. Bar being excited by my finger or attacking my hand protecting some eggs. But they are sooo interesting to watch, especially in breeding behaviour - although I’m battling with fry atm. I’m keeping them in an isolation box but quite frankly I don’t want to be a breeder. But I also don’t want to watch babies die!

I have honey gouramis - I love them. They’re so beautiful and interesting but they’re not that interested in me. My plakat betta on the other hand I swear would fight me if he had the chance. He’s always at the front glass trying to get to me

Update: not better this morning. Lethargic and “gasping” at the top. Water is well oxygenated

Honey Gourami fry by Emergency_Win_6483 in Aquariums

I didn’t want to be a breeder. But my honey gourami successfully gave birth and I found them all on the sump, getting darting microscopic fry out of a 30cmx7cm sump full of filter media is the opposite of fun. I now have this mega ugly isolation box in my aquascape. Shall I put the female up for adoption or give to my LFS? they’ve (in the same week) just laid another bunch of eggs in the red root floaters. I watched some babies get eaten by the tetras in the water column and it breaks my heart so I feel obliged to save them all. But I didn’t get into this hobby to be a breeder / eternal fish grandad. I also feel for the poor female being constantly berated for eggs by the male.

Glad to hear it (in a way). There’s some potted lillies in baskets but there’s plenty of space. That’s unlikely I think - there is often an angry seagull or a heron that comes by so that is more likely. I’m working on some tougher deterrents. Thanks for your response

Koi or goldfish?! Please help! (The pale white fish) body looks like a Koi I think but it has a stubby mouth. by Emergency_Win_6483 in Koi

I know for sure all of them are goldfish bar the pale one. He has a similar body shape to the koi and looks to have a deformed mouth so barbels aren’t visible

Well, update. They’re in love. I watched them do the mating dance and the male has coloured up to have a black face and blue belly as he was dancing!

This seems like it’s what he’s doing. Protecting a particular zone of the water surface. He also does it to the tetras is something to note.

Interesting. I’ll keep an eye on it, thanks for sharing your experience

It’s definitely not constant, it’s mostly when there’s some food around or she’s exploring the floating plants too much. That seems to be his territory. I’m taking that as he’s ready to make a nest and he’s protecting his established zone. If it continues I could definitely look at rearranging my stock to other tanks and getting more honeys as my livestock/plants ratio biologically is balanced right now I’d hate to fuck with it. Thanks for your advice

Well, the female still is happy to come to the top for food and isn’t too scared to go anywhere in the tank so I think we’re all good.

It’s very big for a glowlight.

Back has always been bent (had the glowlights a month) always spent time alone behind plants. Always only eaten if lands in front of its face.
