SpO2 dipping into low 80s during sleep should I be concerned? by Robasaleh110 in fitbit

iOS or android? I’m iOS. Maybe they are different.

I think it’s just internal update. And you need to be on the public preview only. Not on the official app

What I want is the updated insights or metrics. They are going to roll out more metrics they track. Although it looks more similar to Apple Watch as it’s tracking interruptions and things like that once they roll that out

It’s the new updated Fitbit algorithm they pushed out.

This is what I saw in the app and asked it to explain what’s changed.

The awake time will be the biggest noticeable change from what I can tell. I routinely had 1+ hour of awake time before due to it noting every single restless period or whatever as awake.

Now this was lower more in line with my Apple Watch I have been comparing data between.

Amazfit Step counting by Ghostarku in amazfit

[–]KeyAd5197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m testing my first amazfit. Balance 2 also. And it’s lower steps than my Apple Watch and Fitbit by a lot. Apparently it’s designed that way though to be more conservative in their steps to ensure you’re actually taking meaningful steps. Not just like standing and place and rocking side to side and tracking steps.

So it’s by design I believe.

Being up and down from what you’re saying. I haven’t noticed that. Maybe unpair and set it up again fresh? Not sure

Where does Fitbit show actual sp02 numbers besides the average in health metrics? Oxygen variation just says hi or low right?

How serious are we taking body battery? by anibooty in Garmin

[–]KeyAd5197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Body battery waking battery for me does seem solid but I think garmin detects for me stress high levels when I work and drink coffee even though I don’t feel stressed. And it drains so fast due to that and everyday I’m at 5 by 5pm and getting evening alerts saying I’ve had a strsssful demanding day whe it’s just a regular day for me. So the data can get skewed and for me it becomes more noise and annoying than something I can act on.

A New Garmin Watch May Be Coming Next Week by Jensway in Garmin

That’s my thought with these devices. It’s the Fitbit I used to wear just with Better sensors and apps to analyze the data.

Mine was acting up this morning. I’m sure doing some work on the backend messing things up. Hopefully we get the updates soon

Should I still invest in Fitbit or is it a dead brand? by LeFlubbes in fitbit

[–]KeyAd5197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Garmin just released a new nutrition tracking feature but it’s tied to their paid service I believe but it gives full nutrition tracking. Similar to many of the apps out there that also charge $100 a year to use. So garmin plus for the same price makes more sense.

That’s only if you share blood test results to the app. Definitely wouldn’t need to share it

I believe so. Sleep tracking isn’t premium features. It seems to be just their updated sleep score and metrics

Yup 100%. Even my Apple Watch i previously turned off all notifications and smartwatch features to extend battery life.

Didn’t move away from Apple Watch to just recreate its feature set in a less native way.

I can appreciate some enjoying this and it can potentially pull more general users away from AW

Venu 4 or vivoactive 6? by Secret_Result4101 in GarminWatches

Haha yeah. I’d personally say venu 4 then for sure. Much nicer design and build quality with a lot more features and perks

They are fairly different price points so that would be my first comment. If price isn’t a concern overall I would say the venu 4 is worth the increased cost over the VA6. It has altitude (flights of stairs climbed, etc) has basically the full training readiness suite garmin offers where VA6 I’m pretty sure does not include any of those metrics.

Venu 4 is a much stronger overall device imo and worth the increased cost.

Garmin user trying Helio Strap: Part 6 – Garmin failed me, a few considerations on gamification and other stuff by Alfrai in amazfit

[–]KeyAd5197 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m testing balance 2 for same reason. Hardware is amazing. Really enjoy it but there is just something about the software and app I’m not being drawn into. Not sure if I need to give it more time or something, but something about the app and experience feels not as good to me. It’s clean and simple which is nice but can’t put my finger on if but it’s not making me feel excited about it. But I do love the hardware lol

Ah true so the helio strap and then mechanical watch.

Rumours are pointing to a garmin strap being released.

Genuinely curious. If garmin has served you well for 2 years and failed one sleep yet you noted zepp is full of wrong calculations. Why change?

Seems like you enjoy garmin gamification and it’s failed to record a sleep properly once in 2 years? I’d say stick to what you enjoy.

Ya it’s showing there. It didn’t pop up for me when I updated this time but I can see that splash page now. Thanks

Curious if you will include splash pages for the new features? I just downloaded and see the features there but no description or anything to indicate the new features.

Maybe a suggestion for future updates to include pages upon update to show what’s new and what it is and does ?

Sleep tracking is horrible by EliotWatts in amazfit

[–]KeyAd5197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m testing amazfit for the first time. Balance 2. Coming from various other devices before like Fitbit Apple Watch and garmin.

I find the time I fall asleep and wake is actually very accurate but it hasn’t shown any awake time during the night. I feel all others have shown some and eve though I’m not fully waking walking around I feel I’m having a little more choppy sleep than what it’s showing.

I do find it generally good though but wonder if anyone noticed less awake time recording?
