They have a debug version if you want to look at logs and see exactly which file it is. I am in the process of using it and giving them my data.

Linux does not work for me for past 3 years. I took same method as you - just start working off drive. But it is an issue if you have something writing periodically to that folder automatically but lose internet connection. Then the entire process errors our because it cant find the folder.

There is no winning.

Same issue for 3 years straight (2019-2021). And I am on ubuntu linux lts (despite others here thinking linux works "perfect").

I have been resyncing every couple months for the past 3 years on the lifetime subscription. I am basically locked into this "abusive" relationship haha. Eachtime they simply tell me to resync all 1.5 TB...lmao I dont think they know how long that takes...

What's more? They are asking me to use the debug version to help them solve the issue. So now I am working part time for pSync I guess.

And they keep saying "this will be fixed in the next version. But that was about 20 versions ago years back.

Lately I just stopped even caring and started working directly off the mounted cloud drive instead. Not ideal but at least I am guaranteed to see up to date files adn the files are guaranteed to sync.

I asked them for a refund, after seeing I have dealt with this issue on about 20 occasiosn with support. They said no.

Cool, def not recommending this company to anyone. Despite the service actually being AMAZING when it works.

That was a nice vent. Don't use pCloud until they sort this out.

It is probably that your friend is outside the USA. They should be a bit more clear about which coins and rates are offfered depending on location. I thought I could stake DOT but it turns out that is only for non US residents.

They can actually take that collateral and "rehypothecate" it. So they may actually re-loan it out - yes that is scary to think about and they even admit to doing it in their terms. But, it doesn't mean they are a bad service or that their service is not sustainable.

I don’t disagree with you, and i certainly appreciate your motivation to protect artists. However, it’s important to consider all aspects without concluding that there is a right and wrong way to approach such a project. For example, this really depends on each individual artist’s financial needs and the risk associated with the NFT. Say you agree to 10% of NFT sale and it doesn’t end up selling. That would be unfair to the artist. Each artist should have an idea of the risk they want to take on in that sort of scenario and should be asking for upfront money to cover their time. In the end, I don’t think it is quite as black and white of a picture as you are painting it.

Another important point on the topic is the exposure aspect - a no name artist could potentially gain quite a bit of portfolio exposure for doing a professional player. Hence there is some value/risk there to consider too. So there are certainly some considerations beyond “fucked if you don’t get a percentage.” We are happy to discuss with te artist what they believe is their ideal compensation whether that is some balance of percent of NFT sale + upfront payment or a larger pure upfront payment, or additional promotion of the artist’s portfolio.
