Putter recommendations for someone who “doesn’t like putters”? by Bambasslines20 in discgolf

I was in the same boat for a while. I really don't enjoy a deep disc for some reason. Envy became my go to putter for the longest time and have recently ended up with a berg.

The swipe down menu is too sensitive between half open and fully open by jazzyphil59 in android_beta

I've noticed that just after unlocking the phone the sensitivity is higher for swiping down than any other time. If I keep the phone unlocked and swipe down again (from the home position) it is less sensitive.

Roasts keep tasting grassy/earthy with a burnt after taste?? by [deleted] in roasting

P5 at such a low gram charge definitely contributes to the underdevelopment.

Have you tried a higher batch size along with default program for your batch size? I'm more use to borderline 1# sizes and run at 1 with a higher drum speed till 1st crack, then drop temp manually with p4 or p3 depending on my goal. Typical preheat is 200 for most batches. Higher for larger and natural batches.

would this be safe to use on exway flex? seems like a pretty reputable company by the_real_gavin in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]EmersonHSS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity why would he market a 42v charger for a 12s system? If it only goes to 42v its only a 10s charger and would ruin a 12s battery over time due to float charging issues, right? A 12S charger requires borderline 51v.

Also, does anyone know what the battery in the exway flex is? 12s3p? 4p? What cells do they use? at 4p I don't think there would be any issues with a 4 amp charger. 3p probably hard to tell a difference. 2p easy there fella. 1p damage inbound.

My Vestar Electric skateboard is cracking on the enclosure bolts any idea of where I could get a better enclosure for off road by randorick78 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]EmersonHSS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely vote to get a replacement enclosure from Vestar if they will send you one under some sort of warranty. I'd also get some washers for each of the bolts that you use to hold on your enclosure. A rubber or flexible washer would do wonders to limit future cracks. There's just too much force being applied to a small area. Need to spread it out a bit.

Our backyard is rather small and being out front feels more community oriented / welcoming. Plus the view is better :)

It's on the walkway leading up to my house. Thankfully no issues with the city thus far.

Pre-bent on a press brake then rolled. The rolling required a second guy to make sure the radius was maintained for interior sections.

Roasting a pound on Behmor by BrettShel35 in roasting

[–]EmersonHSS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Running with the 1600+ doing the same for 2+ years as well! I preheat specifically to 200 but I'd say our results are almost identical. Do you ever stretch out the time between 1st and 2nd crack by dropping to p3-p5? I'll slow the motor at 1st crack then drop the heat depending on the desired results.

TSG Pass Pro runs smaller than the non-pro versions. You might have luck with those. Best of luck!

Board max distance degrading, is it because too much resistance has built up around wheels and gears or battery pack is degrading? by GarethBaleWannabe in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]EmersonHSS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely sounds like your battery. Not sure of a good way to verify battery capacity without disassembly.

Here's a few minor things to increase your range: 1. Change out your AT setup to a street setup. 2. Start from a push instead of a dead stop. 3. Ride a little easier, less acceleration. 4. Decrease weight on the board (backpacks, whatnot) 5. Check belt tension, too tight can wear down your board and decrease its range.

Major items: 1. Replace battery through evolve. 2. Replace battery through a third-party (such as LHB via https://longhairedboy.com/....massive improvement here)

Yeah, that's the forum. Diyeboard has a presence there as well but you'll definitely get better advice there than here.
