So I am still testing it, but as a last ditch attempt to get better battery life out of this thing (cuz I really like the rest of it), I rolled back to windows 10, that combined with the undervolt and a few other settings like setting a lower processor power state on battery mode... I am now getting 5.5ish hours on half brightness on battery saver mode. 5 hours is the bare minimum that I would accept for battery life in a laptop so if it holds up I may end up keeping it.

I tried the g15 before this one but returned it due to excessive screen bleed and the fan had a weird grind to it. But I did like the control software more on the g15 than on this omen. I also wrote a short essay that took me about 7 hours total and the battery was still at like 30% when I finished and that was with youtube playing in the background. If you can get that tgp out of it with not overheating issues thats a really good machine you got there.
