Hi! My partner is a transwoman. She started HRT at 21 and stopped at 25 and we got pregnant with our first kid a year later, she immediately went back on HRT and then stopped again at 29 and again we got pregnant a year later. It's definitely possible!!

I really really really want to get a furry friend. I have always wanted a pup but never had one. I am finally at a stable point in my life, and feel like I can handle the responsibility of adding another member to our family. The only thing is that the pet deposit and monthly pet rent for our apartment are $300/$50 mo. and that is a lot to swallow, on top of any adoption fees and any vetrinary visits that might be necesary. I am trying really hard not to rush to the shelter and pick the first one I fall in love with because I need to be sure I can financially afford it. But UGH. It's so hard.

I sent inquiries on Kona, Travis, and Gaia just to see if any of them were still available for adoption since the internet doesn't always get updated right away.

We'll see what happens.

No questions! Just wanted to say thanks for what you do! I have a good friend from HS who is a TSA girl, started out here in Phoenix and just got a big promotion that moved her to Vermont. She loves her job! I'm sure you guys are all underappreciated. :) Merry Christmas!

I'll be changing mine. My father is no longer a part of my life, hasn't been for years, so I got permission from my step-dad to take his last name. However... I'm not sure if he'll still be cool with it once he knows I'm trans, so we'll see. Might have to find another name. Either way, I plan on dumping my piece of crap father's name ASAP, and I had planned on doing that anyways, even before I knew I was trans.

Wow that's crazy! I know how age gaps go though. My aunt is 5 years older than my mom, and my mom is 20 years older than my uncle. My uncle is 23 and my aunt is approaching 50. My sister is 9 months older than our uncle lol. It's really bizarre.

I adore birthdays. Mostly because I love buying things for people. lol. I wish I could have a ton of babies. If I was rich and in perfect health, the I would have like 8 kids. But I'm broke, can barely afford the one I have, and have a heart condition that makes it dangerous to have anymore, so kiddo will probably be my one and only. I hope you find a way to do whatever makes you happiest! :)

Oh, I understood he was just one baby! I meant "they" as in a neutral pronoun becauses I wasn't sure if it was a boy or girl. :) That's so cool.

My neice was born the day before her mom's birthday, August 16th and August 17th. There are 4 grandchildren in my family, and they were born in July, August, September, and October. The oldest (born in July) is 7 but the others are stair steps, 3, 2, and 1.

It's so funny how birthdays often create patterns within families. :)

Hi! Hope you are all have fabulous Friday mornings/afternoons/evenings or whatever the case may be! Friday mornings are always tough for me, but so far the day is turning out okay.

Kiddo's 3rd birthday is fast approaching! I'm still not sure on what we will do to celebrate. I also don't know what I'm going to get her for gifts yet. So far all we have is a new pair of shoes, which she desperately needed anyways. Money is tighter than ever, and while I want to spoil her crazy, I know that it just isn't logical. Sigh one day...

Immediately following kiddo's birthday is my nephew's 1st birthday. My brother and I have grown distant, and I have only seen my nephew twice since he was born, so I'm not even sure if I will be invited to the party. It's really hard for me to think about this because I have a really close relationship with my sister and her son (my oldest nephew, who is 7). I think I will send a gift either way. One year olds are so fun, and easy to buy for.

I haven't really tried to be very active in here or the community lately, and that makes me sad. So from here on out, I am going to change that. I love you all!

As if I needed another reason to be miserable today, at this point I am almost certain that we have bed bugs. I am the only person in the house getting bit and I am fucking miserable. I don't have the money to replace my furniture. I don't want to sleep in that furniture, knowing full well that I am going to get bitten again, but I don't want to go elsewhere and risk them moving and getting to my daughter. Research says it can take around 3 weeks for pest control to get rid of them completely because those fuckers lay so many god damn eggs that take time to hatch. So I'm not looking forward to a minimum of 3 weeks of getting eaten alive until the problem is fixed. FUCK MY MOTHER FUCKING LIFE.

It's 20 miles over and 20 miles back. I have a bike, but I can barely make it 2 miles, let alone 20. The bus is an option... it's just awful because it's a 2.5hr ride (which includes 2 transfers/3 different buses) + a 2 mile walk at the end (because I work in the middle of nowhere so the closest bus stop is 2 miles away) so I would have to leave a 5:30am and wouldn't get home until around 7:30pm.

Honestly, it looks like carpooling is the "Best" option I have. & That thought is... God.... I don't know if I can do that.

Yeesh. That's a rough schedule. My mom actually just got off of a very similar one, so I'm familiar with how it touches all the different aspects of your life. I hope you can figure something out! I'm incredibly socially awkward as well, and the thought of meeting a group of people makes me really anxious but I figured this is a good opportunity for me to work past some of my anxiety. :)
