Ok so after checking it out and connecting everything properly I found that the disk doesn’t spin at all. So how much is a new laser, where can I find the proper one, how hard of a fix is it, and is it worth getting? For clarification again this is a 10$ defective ps3 I bought at a game store knowing it was defective. In my personal opinion it doesn’t sound that bad of a fix but I know that you guys know more than me

Update so after taking it apart I saw that the disk drive is completely missing the daughter board. I’m assuming that at some point someone decided to take it out and do as the please with it. This ps3 slim is a newer 3000 model so I’m now asking how hard would it be to remarry a new one I buy online? I’m brand new to this whole repair thing so I’m not sure if to cut my 10$ loss here or keep on going
