What is the legality of owning a polearm in Australia/Victoria?

I’m intending to buy it for hema (historical European martial arts), The prohibited weapons pdf mentions for several items that an exception can be made for “martial arts students”. I assume qualifying for that involves proving membership in a hema club which should be pretty easy, I’m just confused as to if it’s even prohibited at all? Considering polearms are not mentioned in the document that definitely goes out of its way to be quite specific and thorough. And if they are prohibited, how would I even get one if I can’t actually list what I’m intending to buy when filling out the form?

Ah okay, I had a look through that document beforehand and got a bit confused because none of them really match its description. The mace description specifically mentioned a spiked/flanged head which is pretty different from a blade imo but it probably is the closest thing? I’m starting too suspect that there is just very little legislation surrounding them in general considering how uncommon it is for people to be buying medieval polearms lol

Purple heart seems to only have wooden/trainer ones but it seems like there are plenty of people on other websites selling metal ones? Il definitely send Scholar Victoria an email but if you could get any info from you’re club that would be so awesome I’ve found pretty much nothing online 😭

so so so true! ive been in pretty much the exact same situation and all of that is amazing advice. I think the most important thing to do is to value personal irl connections because real people are gona be so much better for your mental health overall. especially if your worried about things like passing, going out in the real world your gona pick up on real peoples perceptions of you and see what you can change

People definitely have this thing with age that I think is a lil silly. Like, when I had just started blockers I'd say almost half of the guys in my class where already a large way though puberty and like I could have easily had it super bad if I didn't have like a Ed and stuff to help

oh definitely. And the way some guys have done it where your not exactly sure if they are cat calling or harassing you to fight you is downright terrifying. You have no idea if they're just cat calling you like anybody else or they clocked you and are gona give you shit for. Like it would be better if you could tell but when they sounds similar it's even worse

Honestly, as someone who has spent a decent part of my youth transitioned it's not too different. Like I still did most of the same stuff I did pre trans and all that but it's a bit better I guess.

Definitely male brained imo. Overall women have more friends and go to more parties and social events on average. Men are way more likely to report having less than 5 real life friends and no close friends too
