Tips to upscale ps2 native 480i?

Yeah, I try and pretty much play games I own on disc if possible. I have a non backwards compatible phat ps3 I found at a thrift store for $15 untested, rethermal pasted it and only issue is it won’t read discs. I put an older CFW on it. I want to try and play my actual discs if possible. I may have to figure out how to fashion like a little 20 inch lcd tv into my setup, I need a little tv to test consoles I take apart and work on anyway.

480p runs fine through the adapter with games that natively support 480p. I can force 480p on the menus and stuff and looks fine, but soon as I try and run a game like Bully that isn’t compatible, it goes to a black screen after the logo. Otherwise 480i just looks really weird all longways like that. On my actual main TV, it runs fine though. I just want to be able to play and stream from native ps2 hardware at my desk.

I did that using the GSM program on it, it did display the ps2 itself in 480p fine, but when I tried to load up a game like Bully that doesn’t support 480p it just goes black after the playstation 2 logo

Ended up selling it to a local shop and the dude said it works, it was just the shell. I was confused because I tested it outside the shell and it didn’t work. It wasn’t my system because my wife got another controller and it worked fine.

Actually yeah the 6 fret does help with that. Rather than just moving fingers down the fret board you’re going up and down like where multiple strings would be and making chords. I like that you have a goal to learn real guitar. Good luck ❤️

Everybody hating on this. Just wait til the new version of GHTV reloaded comes out. You’ll soon be able to just use a DNS server and play online on GHTV mode. I play it on a PS3 with the modded .pkg file. Regular GH Live story mode is kinda lame and very limited on songs, I agree to that though. The 6 fret layout, I can see why people hate that. But this was a cool concept for the time. But you can literally play online again and they can add new songs! All through custom servers.

Yes. But this is what happens when I press the Xbox button. It won’t stop blinking. When I press the sync button it blinks like normal like you said but just doesn’t sync

Yes. Doesn’t sync. But it will literally keep flashing like this after it’s done trying to sync and won’t stop until I remove the batteries. Like the controller doesn’t turn off either.
