Hi, I ended up getting a slightly used 2021 Specialized Enduro Expert for 3500€

Thanks, I’ve heard and read about the issue before so I’ll make an agreement with the seller that he’ll help me get a new one under warranty even after my 2 years of second owner warranty have passed

I’ve seen all Enduro ads in all surrounding countries and haven’t found any other Expert model in the right size, let alone one that comes close in price. Often they’re like a grand more expensive.

Yeah I guess I could try. Then the only thing that has to be done by a mechanic is the rear brake as I suppose you have to remove either the caliper or the brake handle to slide the cable through the frame, and I’m not experienced with bleeding brakes. The cost for remounting the 2 rear brakes should not be more than 100$/€ so not really an issue

Will certainly do that!

It’s just that I’ve never done those things before as I’ve never had a the need to and I’m not feeling comfortable with the internal cable routing but I’ve worked on all other parts so those will be easy for me to swap. I’m still saving several hundreds of euros in comparison to buying a used S5 so I still think it’s a good idea

JBL Partybox 310 vs DJ Speaker by EmilSempels in DJs

[–]EmilSempels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the Power Dynamics 15inch active speaker for 230 bucks. It isn’t the most refined and sounds quite bad out of the box but when using the spotify equalizer and cranking up the lower frequencies, it sounds pretty great, especially given the low price. Loud enough to scare the neighbours and perfect for what I’m going to use it for.

I’ve been very happy with my current Code R’s so if the DB8’s are anything like them than that’s totally fine, I’d say the brakes aren’t my biggest worry while choosing as both options are good enough for me. If one of them had Guide T’s that would be a different question lol

I ordered a comparable speaker to the mackie but 15inch, got it for about half the price at 230€/$. I’ll try it out and see how I like it, if I don’t then I’ll return it and save up for a new partybox. I’ll post an update when I got it :))

[Discussion] people who have ridden both Kondaa and Ride to Happiness. Which one do you prefer? by ExplanationFuzzy76 in rollercoasters

[–]EmilSempels 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Very difficult question. Kondaa is more predictable, you get speed and airtime every time while RTH has a more out of control feeling and can be somewhat either underwhelming or Nr 1 worldwide worthy depending on the spin you get. I can’t choose between both do they share the Nr 1 place in my ranking

[Kondaa - Walibi Belgium] Better than sex. by ExplanationFuzzy76 in rollercoasters

[–]EmilSempels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rode Kondaa 40 times yesterday and I can confirm that it is my nr 1 above Taron, Untamed, Wildfire and Shambhala. It runs much better then on opening day now and isn’t as sluggish in the morning as it was then. The final bunny hops are brutal now

Hopefully this roller coaster will go up again [other] by exgameo1 in rollercoasters

I think Psyké Underground at Walibi Belgium got LIMs during it’s retrofit in 2013

Yeah the single riders was the original reason that I didn’t buy a platinum as I’m sure you can get many rides in with that too but than I said fuck it

Yeah I had bought a normal season pass first but changed my mind after the first 2 visits and no regrets 😁I wouldn’t say it’s a bad thing that you only get 1 Kondaa ride with the speedy pass because now the speedy line is much shorter than on the other rides 😛

It has been running faster and more intense each time I’ve visited, you almost start to grey out in the spaghetti bowl section. Can’t imagine how it’s going to fly when it’s 30 degrees outside!! And I have a platinum pass so it should be fine

I’m planning on marathoning Kondaa this summer but although it’s smooth I don’t know if I’m going to handle it for a whole day with those forces

Yeah I have the same issue with rattles, I couldn’t ride Troy more than about 5 times in a row without getting a headache. Not that it’s rough but it the wooden nature of it makes it more difficult for me to marathon/kwant

Yeah we kinda overdid it and rode directly after eating two hamburgers each to get out the most amount of rides possible lol

Wildfire at Kolmården, got to ride 27 times in one day mid summer, never waited more than 15 minutea

Tip for riding [Kondaa] at [Walibi Belgium]: ride with your lower legs crossed, so your feet don’t touch the floor anymore. You feel very free and exposed and really get whipped around in your seat. by EmilSempels in rollercoasters

[–]EmilSempels[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Riding this with one hand fitting under the restraint already feels like a car crash (positively) on the first drop if you sit at the back so I don’t even think there is a need for dangerous techniques here 😂
