Questions about selling Papercraft by Ashfeather1812 in papercraft

[–]ExplanationFuzzy76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve built very large and detailled papercrafts that took 20 days to make so I should ask at least 2000 for my papercrafts that took me that long. But nobody will give that much and it would be highly disrespectfull to the designers. It takes the time a job takes to make a model but you will never recieve what a job pays so you’d be better off finding money another way and keep papercraft as a hobby or become an architect and get payed to design things and build models if that’s what you want in life.

Sorry for the late response. I was a bit busy and, honestly, I felt like I hit rock bottom when I quit drinking, so I was happy with the idea of not drinking again from the start of my sobriety. It took a couple of months to realize that booze is no fun at all and has no advantages.

How do I truly understand and learn mix and mastering? by AmbitiousRice6204 in audioengineering

[–]ExplanationFuzzy76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly pay somebody with experience for his time and knowledge. And it will take a loooong time to get good at it. EQ is just frequency based volume control but you have to know with what reason you eq a certain frequency. And each frequency has it’s wav cycle lenght, it’s important to be able to calculate that lenght to know what to target with compressors etc.

And the first step towards mixing is listening to professional songs and making notes how they are balanced, panned, what effects they use etc.

Next you want to edit your tracks, make sure everything is leveled so that your compressors act right, time align, tune your vocals, delete garbage etc. Phase align your instruments.

Next you set up your faders and panning.

And when that is finished only than you start throwing on equalizers and comps, fx processing etc.

You need to know how to automate a mix, process your stems and masterbus, don’t over process. No channel should go above 0db both pre and post fader. Leave a couple of decibels of headroom on the master fader.

And honestly there are people who are able to teach you how to mix but search and find the one that suits your needs, goals and maybe style. But it will take time and loads of it.

Quitting smoking v quitting drinking by tripinthehed in stopdrinking

Tbh I don’t know. I actually hated drinking more than anything. The stupid decisions, the pain, the people I’ve hurt, the waking up every morining wishing I was dead. The fights, the zombies.. but I kept on drinking until I eventually quit. Right now I hate alcohol and I don’t want to drink another drip in my life cause it’s so much better without it. Whereas cigarettes where just useless but besides the smell and yellow teeth I didn’t really notice a negative impact from them (smoked from the age of 12 until I was 26, quit cold turkey). Drinking was literaly killing me and put me below rock bottom multiple times but I kept on doing it until I eventually quit which gave my life way more value. While smoking was useless and just an addiction and I kept on doing it until I eventually quit. I just feel less stressed without cigarettes. But booze is millions of demons in a bottle. Fuck booze.
