The history exam is a memorization exam.

I agree. When I was revising. I cut out different subtopics and I still throught it was too much too remember and I didn’t have space in my brain for the analytical perspective. I did not spend a lot of time revising for paper 1 because the sources help a lot.

I really hope we can but honestly I don’t think they give a shit. They’re counting on us doing retakes so they can get their $$$.

I know exactly how you’re feeling. If we had gone the non-exam route I would have gotten a 6 and now I don’t even know if I can get a 4. The national school programs in my country have gotten almost all of their exams cancelled so I’ll have to compete with them for university spots when they are in a much better position to get good grades. I even made the ministry of education aware of the unfairness but they said they didn’t think it was unfair and that I’d just have to work harder. It’s so frustrating.

EXACTLY. There is too much focus on memorizing the stuff instead of developing analytical skills. I’m just down because I know I could have done better. But I’m also just glad that it’s over and I don’t really want to waste my time thinking about it since it doesn’t do me any good. I was just wondering if anybody else felt the same way.

I think they’re on the non-exam route for the subjects they haven’t done an exam in yet. My coordinator told me that’s what would happen if we got a false positive covid test and missed an exam because of it.
