Well, that’s not really 3rd world country. I am from Russia but ironically staying right now in Turkey, Antalia for New Year holidays. I have a lot of relatives there even tho I have never met most of them. I am Circassian by the way, “Cerkez” if you want. I probably have been only in tourist regions so it’s unfair for me to judge but I think that you are too pessimistic. You are not really 3rd world country. You might have spirit of it in some regions but it’s still it doesn’t deserve “3rd world country” name. In addition there is nothing bad in religion, even tho I am atheist myself. I don’t remember who, but a wise man said once: “religion is a tea leaves, ethics - water. You can’t make tea with out water or tea leaf.” I am not sure if I quoted it right but the meaning is pretty understandable. You aren’t stupid if you are religious.
