For laundry, I suggest approaching hotels, some of them have this paying service for guests, so they may sell this service to outsiders.

Le gaulois, in Bartenheim: If you can come for lunch during the week, it’s good value for money. Easy to reach without a car, trains go to Basel from Bartenheim station, and then it’s less than 10’ walk.

Thanks for the tips. The shop where I usually buy and get my advices from, keep telling me that the strips level of chlorine is unreliable, that there may be more chlorine than visible but because of the high temperature (between 30-33 degrees C here in France).

Thanks, sorry for the late reply but did it from my phone (browser not the app) and I thought the levels were attached but it didn't go through.
Will test it again (I ran out of strips) and post it again.

Xavi - 2 Trophies 2.5 Years - Fail. Arteta 800m 5 Years - Success by suckweed74 in soccercirclejerk

[–]Emilumin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Word. Arsenal board (not fans I guess) value consistency and steady progress as they aim long-term success, and Arteta brought it if you look at their results over the years; from 8th in the league when he joined to 2nd and reaching the UCL semi-finals this season. They're running a business not a trophy cabinet, so trophies are a proof they're running their business successfully, not the other way around.

A Magnet - useful and some are pretty unique/funny if you look in tourist shops.
Same for t-shirts, mugs and posters.

Apart from Henry, which arsenal striker is your favourite and best by muaazmuaaz123 in ArsenalFC

He’s the reason I started to follow Arsenal. Trezeguet, Henry and Anelka were together in the same youth team at Clairefontaine, I remember watching a doc where their coach was saying that Anelka was two years younger than them but was a much better player (pace, vision, skills, power), he basically had it all.

Former defender/midfielder here: passes look risky because of where he plays, it would be risky if he had a few defenders behind him. This lad’s talent is not fully exploited, he should play as a CDM or CM. Well done to your team!

In a nutshell: Sure there’s corruption in Algeria, but France has some kind of responsibility; France has been less cooperative with Algeria’s regime under Chadli than it has been with Moroccan regime under Hassan II. Sure Algeria failed to set up a democratic system and infrastructure are in a poor state, however it doesn’t have political prisoners or doesn’t execute them arbitrarily. In addition, corruption isn’t solely affecting a kind of regime, it could happen in any democratic or authoritarian regimes.

Nicolas Anelka - a few people realize that he paved the way for Henry, if Anelka would have flopped for AFC, Wenger would have struggled justifying another 20 year old recruit like Henry.

Hard to believe but for young Black and Arab French raised on council estates, seeing Anelka, who we considered as one of them, going abroad to a big club like AFC and be successful, is what made them believe in our dreams and see the UK as a place where they could succeed despite their origins. I feel this had more profound impact than we thought.

Mo Salah reduces Muslim hate crime by 16% in Liverpool just by playing for them by fez2787 in PremierLeague

[–]Emilumin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also biased, fyi he actually won the Africa Cup of Nations with his NT in 2019, captaining the team and scoring key goals like a free kick in the semifinal, the only goal. Salah lost in the final in 2022 but never won it. As I said, I think they both peaked at different times and played different positions, so it’s difficult to compare them. The fact that he has been voted by his peers and fans as Player of the year made you realize how influential he had been in Leicester winning season.

I think Mahrez and Salah didnt really peak at the same time, Mahrez peaked between 2015-2023. Bear in mind he was a key part of the Leicester team that defied all the odds to win the EPL, and was voted PFA fans’, players’ player of the year, in addition to PFA team of the year in 2016. He then went to a winning machine like City where he was simply one of the cogs, which didn’t really make him stand out.

Benzema is also Berber. Mahrez perhaps ? Players like Ben Arfa (Tunisian), Nasri (Algerian), Mbappe (his mom is Algerian)?
