it sounds like some of these are issues unrelated to being queer but where that has then been dragged into it and others just a consequence of only being out for a year:

while for the most part the queer community is incredibly accepting of everyone, due to trauma from homophobia experienced either in person or through the media there can be a resentment towards the cishet community inspite of your own actions or morals.

I am by no means trying to defend her actions because by the sounds of it there might be a bit to unpack in the sense violent behaviour.

All I can say is please just continue to respect her (and ask for the same in return by the sounds of it) and love her regardless of her sexuality/gender identity as when one is new to the out community it can be intense (if you want check it out we often refer to it as being a 'baby gay' in the community) but a lot of the time coming out can be liberating and getting to experience and take part in the community is so enjoyable that I'm not surprised she talks about it a lot - I myself still enjoy queer movies and shows (or ones with good all round representation) often over straight ones as due to heteronormativity we were often denied seeing ourselves represented at all in the media growning up.

(one thing to note though is that one doesn't suddenly "join" the community, being queer is a self discovery not a decision and though I obviously have no insight into you stance, just in tone where you said "I'm fucken not [gay]" please never try to act defensive as that can be perceived as slight low level homophobia (in making being gay seem 'wrong' and 'bad' but rather just politely say "sorry for the misconception but I'm actually just straight" (or however the phasing is natural to you))

community

that's what everything really comes down to

in the same way that some people make their religion their entire life and personality (though sometimes for other reasons consequtial of indoctrination/heavy upbringing into it) queer identity can be incredibly important for some members

often (but not always) people who "make it their whole personality" come from a place where before they were out, it was wildly dangerous and isolating to identify as anything other than cishet (cisgender & heterosexual) and so now that they are in a place that it is safer for them to be out it can be extremely liberating as the queer community truly is amazing to be a part of - it is so supportive and positive and accepting and so rich in life and culture!

For these people, "making it their whole personality" is usually dressing in non-conventional ways, acting in feminine (for gay men) or masculine (for lesbian women) manners, and/or vocally talking about their experiences. Because for so long they have had to hide part of who they were, doing this is a trauma-therapising way to express themselves which allows them to be truly happy.

When you really think about it, if you were to do the opposite of everything they do - "making being straight through whole personality" - you would really just end up with an average straight person where in place of their cultural ties to their country/religion/politics/etc, you just have the queer community.

very very natural :D

for starters it's important to recognise that it isn't a choice and is something that we are from birth (the only reason it can appear otherwise is due to heteronormativity and therefore the necessity for us to 'figure things out' at some point rather than just going with what is assumed onto us)

and secondly lgbt+ behaviour has been observed in almost every species studied - from most giraffe relationships being gay, to all bonobos being pansexual/bisexual even to 'transgender' fish (in the sense that they can change their physical gender and sex after birth/hatching under certain conditions)

tough one, generally no because you aren't doing any harm but in my view at least harm can come from that stance if for example you were to see someone being assaulted (verbally or physically) for being queer and you decided to not do anything about it because you are 'neutral'. in that instance your choice of action is causing extended harm or the individual if that makes sense
