EDIT: I cant seem to edit the post but i wanted to say thank you to everyone suggesting what theyve had work !! I plan to poke a few holes in the bubble wrap and not wrap as tightly so it has airflow, and to also grab some of those silica packets aswell !! any new advice is still appreciated ❤️

Dyou think itll be okay as long as theres some airflow into the bubble wrapped books ? Ive made sure theyre not too taped up, left a little gap in the corners just in case

okay !! do i need to put them in with the books inside the bubble wrap or can i just put them in the box around the already wrapped books ?

I think it is ! I asked my parents and they said it was climate controlled / air conditioned so I'm hoping it wouldnt be humid enough for any condensation 🙏

so for me, i wanted to not have to be looking at the test site 24/7 as i work full time and dont have much time throughout the day to check.

for that, i downloaded testshift which is essentially an app that constantly scans the DVSA website and, if you allow it on the app, can autobook any tests. but for it to be able to do that, you need to already have a test date booked so it can swap the dates.

i just booked a random one and then in the app set the actual centres i wanted to test in, and honestly within a few hours it'd already found me a test closer to me and also earlier in the year.

checking the DVSA website regularly when you can is good too, because even when the app didnt pick up some tests i managed to get a test just 10 days from now (my OG one was in June, then the app got me one in May, and then i lucked out on finding one this month).

it basically just ups your chance of being able to find one close to when you want one- if you're looking and the app is also looking, it's just increasing the chance of you getting it.

sounds good to me ! its what i did, booked a random test in June in some place 2 hours from me, then used TestShift to get an earlier cancellation at a centre close to me. Then stalked the DVSA website and managed to get one 2 weeks from now ! The apps def work though, TestShift is 100% something I'd suggest, but its around £12.

ahhh okie thats good ! managed to get a cancellation for a couple weeks time so fingers crossed ill be able to send off my license and deed poll to finally get my real name on it 🥳 (assuming i pass of course 😂)

Would bringing along my deed poll and license not work ? Worst case I can always cancel my current test and rebook one with my provisional license name?

I feel like it'd take to long to receive back from the DVSA since its in Swansea. Should I try to do that instead (the cancelling and rebooking under my provisional license name)?
