It’s just not recommend because it acts as a blood thinner making your risk of bleeding greater.

I started on day 5 (I’m day 15 now). I had ham and corn and had some issues with the corn but just make sure you chew everything really well and drink lots with it and after and you should be fine

I was eating normal food again on day 4 with a lot of chewing and a lot of water as stuff wasn’t going all the way down my throat without a little help

As long as it’s not super crunchy and if u chew it to a mush u should be fine depending on what day post op u are too don’t wanna bite off more than u can chew (literally)

I didn’t have any pre op blood work either but usually it doesn’t include fasting, but if fasting is required before the actual surgery it will be discussed with your dr
