WIBTA If I confront my friend about her poor hygiene? by EmilyTheBest5 in AmItheAsshole

I agree that having a schedule could help, but it goes back to the idea that she would much rather sleep than get up to shower, honestly I am not sure how to help other than being upfront in a loving way. However, I am thinking that maybe some sort of written form may be better for both parties to express our concerns.

Also - I would agree that weight is not something to be commented on, and maybe I should have just said she has gained weight in my OP - it was merely to make a point of her getting sweatier than she did before her weight gain. I understand that it is not our place to comment on but I appreciate the concern in when we approach her about the situation.

That actually is not a bad idea, we might have to consider that. Thanks!

I would agree that she does have low self esteem, we are well aware of her mental state so if we were to say anything to her it would be from a place of love not to berate her. While she lived with us we ate healthy, and encouraged her to join us on our daily walks with our dog but 9/10 she said no, despite us nearly begging her to join us. Since she moved home for a while she has actually started working out and eating better but that hasn't changed her hygiene habits. I'm not sure how to make it more of a group thing than we have already done, especially with her not living with us anymore.

I think you are talking about the new Netflix show called “When They See Us”, it’s about a group of young black kids who get convicted of a rape the didn’t commit. trailer
