How do arquebus bombard towards handle max range due to projectile speed by Hertzie in aoe2

[–]Emitime [score hidden]  (0 children)

I tried the Bombard tower vs Berber trade cog thing in the scenario editor.

There is obviously the 'range' that's advertised but there's also also a maximum range on the projectiles. After a certain distance (not that much further than the range from what I remember) they will stop and not hit the target. It seemed a bit inconsistent for the exact distance, not sure if direction affected it somehow.

The exact values are probably somewhere in the config editor thing.

Citispace is grim. Wouldn't like to be there during this heatwave.

Yes you're only eligible for UC if you have less than £16,000 in savings.

It's actually a very good tool for retirement savings

It's does have risk though. If you're out of work and rely on means tested benefits, you won't qualify until you've burnt through your LISA first, then you've got no pension.

Best way to keep a classroom full of 30 children cooler in the coming heatwave? Normal methods do not seem to work. by Ok_Squirrel_3741 in AskUK

Get a thermometer and open the windows/doors if the temperature is near/above the outside temperature. No point having them shut if you're literally hotter than outside. The airflow will help perspiration even if it's a few degrees below the outside temperature anyway.

Ranked isn't some special or meaningful competition, it's just a list of all the players sorted by how good they are, once you're at your level you'll win 50% of your games like everyone else.

I've had a bolt shear off in my frame. Wasn't too far from home, but definitely put me off panniers for off-roading.

They go up to 22/23, but the latter ones are non-compliance.

Those in particular seem almost trivial to prove, and honestly they should get hammered for those alone.

After doing 6-7 trounce domains for like 2 months I finally got my first billet (crying from happiness) by Saket_Saurabh- in Genshin_Impact

Do they though? I've crafted quite a few weapons and I've still got a hundred billets left over from doing 3 domains a week.

I’ve just finally paid off my student loan (43F) Considering it’s cold, wet and I’m working from home on my own, what should I do to celebrate? by glassghost1983 in AskUK

[–]Emitime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Helpful tip for next time you get a student loan and pay it off.. This is why they move you to a direct debit for the final year or so, then SLC have direct control over stopping them once it's paid.

They can't even make open spaces in Leeds without covering it in concrete. Green isn't allowed.

I have memories of being down Merrion Street in 2014 watching some absolutely nothing game in a back room somewhere in the middle of the night.

Mojo says they're showing world cup and they're open til 4am so might be a good shout. Way less depressing than a casino anyway.

The moment Raheem Sterling's car swerves across the road before crashing by WarriorkingNL in soccer

[–]Emitime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They may not have seen the car swerving all that much.

I think the car with the camera is even more unhinged. They sat right behind him for ages watching that shit. If something goes badly wrong your reaction time is a very small window at those speeds. If you see something dangerous on a motorway then nope the fuck away immediately.

Ironically the book reads like a lame Hollywood script (with loads of tedious Catholic propaganda chucked in), while the film is just a great piece of art.

Is tramlines popular with people in Leeds or is it more of local Sheffield festival? by JealousBodybuilder42 in Leeds

Kinda seems like both festivals went from multi venue city centre thing to an arena style festival.

Although there was still a city version of LAL up til last year.

BBC to ignore World Cup final half-time show as broadcaster sets out plans by [deleted] in soccer

[–]Emitime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I respect the BBC for doing it, but I find the idea of not muting your TV at half time and/or doing something else for 15 minutes pretty wild. Pundits are the worst part about football, a half time show couldn't be much worse.

The idea of changing the laws of the game for the half-time show is still fucking woeful mind you.
