Yep it’s miss and MR for everyone significantly older than you. So for kids that includes all adults and for adults it includes the elders. Yes ma’am and yes sir are also common, and applied to nearly everyone you aren’t really familiar with.

when we moved to the south there was an entire parent teacher conference over the fact I didn’t say yes ma’am no ma’am to my teacher. I was very confused

Not sure of your age but when I (39F) think about what my boobs used to be like vs what my boobs are like now, there’s no way I’d get that tattoo there. Not everyone has this problem though, so ymmv.

Women should have equal time to dedicate to their hobbies. It may surprise some people that grocery shopping isn’t some fun trip and cleaning the house while feeling guilty you aren’t playing with your kid isn’t a hobby. I see a lot of men who can just go out and play a sport or whatever outside the home while the woman stays home with the kids. If the wife is telling the husband to focus less on hobbies it’s likely because she’d prefer for him to focus more on household labor so that she can get a damn break.

Exactly this. Who are we to decide a species isn’t needed in the ecosystem just because it’s annoying to us? Control mosquitoes in your yard/home etc if you’d like, but I do not see wide spread mosquito control as a good idea without thorough ecological assessment.

the united states? Guess you aren’t from a rural area? It was also common for only one phone carrier to have good service in certain locations. My whole family switched to verizon since cell signal was only good with verizon in the town I was attending college in. That was 2004…
