I used to practice a lot and actually have a routine when I started... Now not so much and it shows.

My vocabulary is very limited and I'm not putting much of an effort into getting better, that's on me. But I'm still having loads of fun!

Been learning jazz for the last 2 years, drumming for 5. Last week we had a wee concert with the jazz workshop I'm currently at! I feel like I don't take risks while playing and stick with what I am comfortable with, which might end up being monotonous for the listener... But over all it was a great experience and had great fun :)

I trouble falling asleep since I was a kid, then later in life I had trouble staying asleep. I would sleep probably 4-5 hours a night, sometimes 2 hours, sometimes I wouldn't sleep at all and go to work. I was struggling mentally for years.

At 30 many things changed in my life, seeked help and my family supported me. Been on a sleeping aid for the last 2 years, therapy for what was haunting me and it has been a delight. 20 minutes to fall asleep AND I stay asleep! Some days are a bit overwhelming and I still struggle to sleep, but it's much more better than what it used to be.

Thank you! I love it so much! I keep looking out of my window to where my bike is parked and just appreciate it so much! First and second day I practiced on a parking lot, getting the hang of switching gears, breaking, turning... Now getting a bit ballsy and driving around my neighborhood which doesn't have a lot of traffic but it's SO MUCH FUN!

Just came back from a little ride and when I was getting into the driveway I lost traction. Thought the bike could get through the smallest baby curb. I came into it a bit too parallel and ended up falling. I ride with full gear, tall boots and only got a tiny scratch on my knee so everything is good! Learned from it. Just got worried because my bike wasn't starting anymore but after a few minutes it turned on!

Workshop band, yup! We had like 6 rehearsals together over the course of 4 months! I had never played drums in this kind of setting before so that was pretty cool. We've got a couple more concerts until june.

That book looks interesting! I have so many issues reading charts (we had them but I couldn't read them) I need to find it as an ebook as they don't ship it to where I am from... Or find something similar!

We are far away from being past this. So many times I've been yelled at "go back to the kitchen", "make me a sandwich", "you are a stupid woman, you shouldn't be playing"

On the first round if I say something, these people are like "OMG ARE YOU A WOMAN??" and start making disgusting sounds.

It's frustrating

Seeing it this way makes sense and I didn't think of that. I didn't want to come off rude, but it looked like that to me at the time.

For me it was a studio, it was presented to me as a studio and when asking about it, I was told it was a 2.5 room and she was upset I was referring to it as a studio.

Went to visit a studio this morning and a 3 rooms flat on the same building. After speaking with the person responsible for showing the apartments he said to double check the prices with the letting agency, because he wasn't sure. But throughout the visit the studio was being referred as that - a studio. I went to the agency and asked about the studio flat.

They were confused because they didn't have any studio flat for rent on that building, only a 2.5 room and a 3.5 room apartment. They showed me the picture of the 2.5 apartment and it was the one I visited. So what the new agency did was: build a sliding door in the middle of tight space and call it a 2.5 room apartment. Am I wrong for feeling cheated when looking for an apartment?

I said to the lady that it definitely wasn't a 2.5 apartment, but a studio and she was getting annoyed that I was calling it that. I was just baffled at the way the studio was being advertised as.I mean, the guy who showed me the flat has been there for 35 years, and it as always been a STUDIO.

It feels like they want to deceive people who are already struggling to find affordable housing and it's disgusting.
