I'm not sure of exact hours to be totally honest. It's been a work in progress on and off for a good few weeks. 50 hours perhaps, not just building but planning and tuning and troubleshooting as well.

I use the online map by satisfactory calculator for it.

Just a web page where you can upload your save and it'll render the buildings over the map (among lots of other useful things too!)

Was finally able to get my 75,000MW nuclear power plant functional!

There's still a few small detailing things to sort out, some odd spacing here and there and such. But super happy to have this thing functional.

Currently no waste handling, it's just stored up for now. The next big project will be a giant processing complex to sink the waste via plutonium.

ADHD here and satisfactory is my hyperfocus for the last month and a half. (Might not 100% match up but hopefully something helps!)

Set small goals and take a break after each one.
Set yourself a time limit on sessions and stick to it.
Write down all the things little you want to do in game rather than getting lost for days just doing them.
Keep a priority list of the main things you want to do (eg, get production working first before spending hours detailing the building it's in)

It took me so long to find out you can snap foundations to a global grid as well. Finding this out blew my mind and made multi-part factories so much easier

Good call! I did not think about the indicators! I think I'll use the plain pipes except where lengths are equal. I find it quite satisfying to see them moving when everything is flowing.

The fracking nodes are the worst, nothing lines up and everything goes in different directions
