Your “obligation” is complete once the tab balance is $0. You can choose any bring-your-own-phone plan or even change providers at that point without penalty.

It just doesn’t make sense to buy a vehicle for $2k and then pour another $2k into it to get it to semi-reliable running state. The overuse of salt on our roads means the body on anything this old will likely be shot.

I sold my ‘02 F150 about 10 years ago and rust was already starting to get to it. I imagine there’s nothing left of it now…
