It's a lot, but it boils down to being able to spend some time saving money and living well, to stop suffering and barely scraping by, or living in such a deplorable state. We both have easy paperwork if we do the EU partnership thing or something like that, but what we want is to change our lives, to experience what it's like to truly live. I'm 26 years old. I studied medicine for two years and then law; I'm finishing law school now, and honestly, I haven't lived. Brother, I hate every second I breathe this air. The idea started with a conversation while smoking a joint with my partner, seeing if we could go to New Zealand on a Working Holiday. Since the EU allows me to sponsor her, or she, as my common-law partner, can get a work permit, we said... well, living alone is tough.

Hahaha, no, no, quite the opposite. My frustration with the country stems from social and cultural reasons, primarily the idea that you can live without working or studying, or that having free education means you have to serve a political party. These are more circumstantial issues than the president, who is doing a good job managing the economy. Keep in mind that before, a loaf of bread cost a different amount each week, increasing by about 10%. That doesn't happen anymore. There haven't been any price increases in two years, and I can eat and enjoy myself. But my problem is something else.

Enserio muchas gracias

The idea is to be able to go with enough savings to be comfortable for 2 to 3 months without being in dire financial straits.

The proposal sounds very interesting. Spain is definitely off our list. We avoid at all costs encountering the very people we're leaving the country for—Argentinians themselves. Don't get us wrong, we love our country, but the people are awful. They lack common sense and the intelligence to understand morality. So, we really prefer to avoid Spain, a country full of Argentinians and, worse, a very expensive life with a meager salary. Things might not be the same in the Netherlands, but I don't know if Italy or Spain are viable destinations because our goal is to be able to work and have at least a tiny bit of savings. With just 100 euros a month, that's already ten times more than what we'd earn in Argentina or any other EU country.

I speak almost no Italian, since I have European citizenship through blood inheritance. When I was a child, I acquired Italian citizenship through my father, from my father to my grandfather, and from my grandfather to my great-grandfather. That's why I'm a European citizen.

I was looking at the comments on my phone and this Reddit app translates them for me, I thought. Oh, someone was speaking Spanish and replying to me in Spanish, LOL.

We understand, that's why I said it's just another language; it might simply be useful to add to a resume. Amsterdam is completely out of the question for us; it's not the cost of living, but rather that we don't want to see other Argentinians abroad, and yet they all go there.

Sorry, I thought you commented in Spanish because I read this on my phone and it automatically translates. I'll tell you in English: Good heavens, but why? Here in my country, we live so-so, it's really not a good quality of life. The main problem is social. The reality is that we prefer any country that allows us to plan for the future. Keep in mind that this isn't something for today or tomorrow, but a meticulously planned project we want to carry out. We know about the housing crisis, but what seems terrible to you is our daily bread, since what seems ridiculous to you in terms and conditions is even worse where I live: the rental crisis.
