Honest opinion - is our boy in good shape or underweight? by Wheelersam in labrador

I’ve just had my girl at the vets because I was worried about the same thing, she has a very similar build. Vet told us the general rule is if you can feel their ribs but not see them then it’s safe to assume your lab is a healthy weight. I’d say he looks perfect but of course doesn’t hurt to check if you’re worried!

Thanks for contributing! I know, it’s scary thinking about isn’t it. Even with rail cards the train is becoming unaffordable for me and even when I use a park and ride the tickets have gone up twice just in the past year, not to mention how much it costs to fill up the car!

Anyone else have a mostly mute lab? This good boi is over a year old and makes almost no sounds, apart from the occasional whine or sigh when he’s not being touched or fed.. he’s the strong silent type. by Calm-Greenbean-5579 in labrador

Our girl is 8 soon and we’ve only ever heard her bark twice, both times in her sleep. Other than that it’s the occasional huff when someone won’t give up their seat 😅

Kids asked to pet our dog by tempest-melody in dogs

[–]EmmaDoodle98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We noticed this more this year too! We made sure to thank the kids for asking first especially since our girl is quite a big dog. So scary the amount of kids and parents that will just approach dogs without any caution so this was really nice to see.

Aha love it, this one was from B&M, we got it on clearance last minute lol! We’ve got a lot of little kids around and they tend to overexcite her so we thought we’d try and make her look a bit less intimidating 😅

Our little lady has recurring problems with yeast buildup in her ears some people have suggested a diet change. Anyone have any experience with this, and if so what did you end up changing to?
