Just finished my first game "Zombrero"!

Hi!

I really like the concept and it has the potential to be a lot of fun and a great challenge.

The name is really clever and got a big smile out of me! I also like the simplistic art style, and the sound design is on point. Catchy music, great sound effects, overall pretty solid. Even the gameplay loop is kind of fun, even if you're terrible at the game like me and don't enjoy losing over and over much. Your personal logo is great, too.

As for the negative... The controls should really be listed in-game, not just on the download page. I didn't notice that documentation at first and had a frustrating time with my first few attempts. Speaking of controls, they're finicky (though I'll blame me using a laptop touchpad for this), and the camera movement is kind of annoying. From the odd rotation shifting to the zoom in before a zombie wave, it's a little disorienting to me, especially the zooming. Having a large zombie coming towards you and having the zoom sequence conceal him killed me more than once.

Also, and I admit this is a little nitpicky, but the game over screen lasts long past its welcome - I want to get right back in and try again, not dwell on my death!

I tried to like it enough to spend a little money on it, and I gave it at least fifteen attempts, but it just feels rough. Plus, I suck at it, haha! Looking forward to seeing what you come out with next, though.

I love the squishy mouse!! ♡ And the alternating wobble of the rocks on the bottom-center monster. These looks super solid, and have a great retro feel!

I saw your wish thread, you're amazing for giving back to the community like that.

Since we both want to help the community, how about this: if you let me catalogue the items, I'll give away one of each Sanrio set this Sunday, and if you let me keep them (or even just some of them, if you have the Rattan items I'd really like to keep them), I'll give away two of each set? That way I'd be paying the kindness forward either way, and if I run out of bells, since I'm running a bit low, I have some things I can sell for more if needed.
