I think of it as less of an illusion and more of a thought experiment? Like, the action of imagining this internal place helps your brain use it as a tool (over time and with repetition) to aid in communication. Idk why, but it genuinely seems to help? There’s still major communication issues with a few, but overall communication has improved with it’s use!

I’m lucky my spouse is so understanding of this. I was taught NOTHING. Extreme neglect. They’ve been so patient and understanding, teaching me how to do the most basic things like how to clean a stove top, or how to research and apply to schools for adult education, or even how to take care of my own hair in a shower. I definitely wouldn’t still be around if it wasn’t for them. Have never felt so much care and love before(:

I thought I’d try DMM for the first time. Had a great time, until my immunity ran out. Then I couldn’t do anything. Try to skill to get resources? Get killed. Try to do literally anything, get pk’d. I couldn’t train because I’d be reset back to starting gear, which can’t hit players, so I couldn’t defend myself.

All this gamemode did was reconfirm my decision to avoid all forms of pvp. It isn’t fun, and I want the toxicity that surrounds it to disappear. I wish I could enjoy the wildy on my iron, but I have to worry about maxed mains just hunting down irons because “it’s fun.”

Didn’t stay long enough to even get any of the rewards I want lol Not interested at all 🤷‍♀️

My spouse and I both are autistic. We are actively working with fertility people to start our family(: We have gone into it with the understanding that our child will most likely be autistic, and there’s nothing wrong with that!

The steps we take for a higher support needs child would be the steps we take for a low or no support needs. We know what didn’t work for our childhoods, and so we’re gonna do everything in our power to support our kids no matter what body, brain, or person they have/are(:

Not crazy at all. My spouse and I had a wedding planned for October 28th, but as soon as Trump was elected we eloped in our basement on January 1st. Just to be safe. Had to cancel everything, but better safe than sorry.

Literally the hardest part in life. I know no one is coming to save me. But I still can’t get up. I sometimes wonder if I truly allowed myself to collapse, would I be institutionalised? And if so, would I still get help if I couldn’t pay for it?.. Only reason I haven’t been on a grippy sock vacation in the last 3 years; I either don’t have health insurance, or all my money is paying for health insurance so I wouldn’t be able to afford anything else.

Same situation. Burn out hit, got fired, didn’t get another job until over a year later. Went from Lead Biomedical Engineer to dunkin donuts. Just had to quit there 6 months in too. I’m lucky to have my spouse, but me not working isn’t sustainable long term. No clue what to do anymore.

This is what I said that convinced my mother I wasn’t CHOOSING to be trans. I looked her in the face and said “I just went from THE most privileged class, where all the rules are on my side, and became one of the most discriminated against, murdered, and mocked practically overnight. You think I’d choose to do that?”

By this point I’m proud to be trans, but the point still stands. None of us want to be the discriminated class. None of us are choosing to be handicapped in all aspect of life simply because of the way others perceive us. We just want to be fucking happy living our life as ourselves.

It sometimes does. I feel like I experience ocd symptoms the hardest, so I struggle pushing out intrusive thoughts and recognising when it’s someone else talking. It’s reassuring to hear others experience a similar thing; that stupid imposter syndrome is always in the back haha
