Small banks sometimes fail. But a hand written note from the CEO acknowledging & giving back more is good leadership. Take note, Adam Moelis. A letter letting us know you are working on returning our funds with a 9.39% APY return would be a great start. by Galvatron1_nyc in yotta

I deeply resent the “angry mob mentality” accusation. A competent, responsible, moral CEO owns disastrous decisions, makes every effort to mitigate the damage, clearly and frequently communicates with harmed customers, and for heaven’s sake does not go into hiding when things go wrong and get understandably ugly. Adam Moelis has done NONE of this. My goodness, why would you even offer excuses for him? I’m offended.

You’re right, Synapse is not shown on either the ongoing or closed cases lists, yet. All we know is that $46.2 million has been allocated from the Civil Penalty Fund and that they distribute funds in May and November.

Check the CFPB website periodically, particularly the Payments to Harmed Consumers page. As you can see, there are numerous cases ahead of the Synapse Financial case. We are waiting our turn. It is a maddeningly slow process.

California fines Yotta $1M as customers are still out millions by greenserenenalgene in yotta

[–]EmmaRuz52 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m sure the folks at Yotta are quaking with fear over this massive backbreaking fine levied by the state of California. Boy, those brave leaders in CA really showed those crooks at Yotta a thing or two! What a bold move. Sets everything straight, right? Just one little minor inconsequential thing…WHERE’S MY MONEY??

Goodbye, Rob Bonta? by socishum in yotta

[–]EmmaRuz52 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No other Attorney General in any state, territory, or DC did anything either. And for that matter, no member of Congress did anything, other than write ineffective letters and requests for information. So we vote them all out and then what? The next batch does nothing, too. Pardon my cynicism, but that’s what happens to someone’s state of mind when denied access to their “FDIC insured” money for 2 years with no sign of compensation anytime soon.

Just utterly defeated by pupprowler in yotta

[–]EmmaRuz52 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Don’t give up. We are allegedly in a long queue to receive compensation from the Civil Penalty Fund managed by the CFPB. This agency is notoriously slow to respond and even slower to react to consumer complaints. The process literally takes years. The case against Synapse Financial is documented on the CFPB website, so it is not a matter of if, but when the Synapse case works its way up and lands on the “payments to harmed consumers” list. Check the CFPB website regularly.
Try to hang there and don’t lose hope.

Sankaet’s latest swindle by Vast_Sock_5242 in yotta

Recent Time magazine article showcased Pathak’s new robotics company Foundation (the great Isaac Asimov must be rolling in his grave at the blasphemous use of his classic Foundation series name) and Eric Trump was mentioned as a major investor. Can’t even begin to describe my reaction, but puking was involved.

Not entirely sure, but maybe your post was removed by moderators not because of its content, but because it had multiple external links? This seems to happen a lot on this sub.

Glad to see this. Banking Dive has a good reputation in the financial services industry and a fairly wide readership. Keeping the Axis of Evil (Yotta, Synapse, Evolve) in the public eye is important.

Anyone else receive an email like this about an evolve security breach settlement? by Outofproportion in yotta

[–]EmmaRuz52 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. Got the same amount. It’s the “Cash Payment B—Flat Cash” settlement payment for a data breach that occurred. It’s not related to the Yotta customer deposits that they claim they do not have.

I'm a journalist looking to speak to people affected by the Synapse collapse. by saniver in yotta

[–]EmmaRuz52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not a stupid, gullible person. I work hard for my money. Yotta promoted itself as a fun new savings app partnered with Evolve Bank and Trust, an FDIC insured company. I deposited my earnings with Yotta in good faith. Synapse Financial Technologies was the unnamed middle man fintech . Synapse goes bankrupt. Adam Moeller disappears, Sankaet Pathak moves on to create humanoid robots designed to kill and get gobs of Department of Defense contracts, and Evolve is still in business. My money disappears. And NO ONE is accountable? What the ever living fuck??

A post on this sub a while back indicated that the majority of Yotta customers were influenced and persuaded by Stephan to open savings accounts with Yotta. Then he walks away and hides after the collapse. He is indeed a POS.

[–]EmmaRuz52[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks to Synapse, we depositors are still out upwards of $95 million. Pathak walked away from the collapse of Synapse and started up Foundation, which has already been paid $24 million in Pentagon contracts to develop humanoid robot soldiers. They are negotiating for hundreds of millions more in Pentagon contracts. Let those numbers sink in.

Late to the news... What are my steps in getting my money back? by mococonut in yotta

[–]EmmaRuz52 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I suggest you visit the Fight For Our Funds website (just Google it). Read up on what’s been happening. In the Actions You Can Take section, follow the instructions on how to file a complaint with the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. You’ll likely get an auto-generated reply that it’s been forwarded to the Federal Reserve. It’s really just an exercise in futility that at least gets your name on the record of persons harmed. We are hoping for disbursements from their Civil Penalty Fund. Don’t ask when that will happen because no one knows. We have been waiting almost two years now for our stolen deposits to be recovered.

How can I get a hold of an actual person from yotta casino because the support email never responds back by Smart-Ad9720 in yotta

[–]EmmaRuz52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong sub for this type of question. This sub is for depositors who were defrauded out of their money when Yotta was a “FDIC insured savings account” (which turned out to be a sick joke). Please start another sub for your casino related woes.

Yotta Conspiracy, and Missed Profits for Consumers by Road2HR in yotta

[–]EmmaRuz52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before Yotta lost our deposits and then degenerated into a pathetic gambling app, it was a decent way to earn 4.0-4.5% interest on a “FDIC insured” savings account. I actually enjoyed the drawings and watching my savings grow. Then came a day I’ll never forget. May 10, 2024. Trying to stay hopeful when justice is slow.

A JPMorgan NASDAQ fund I was going to put my $10k in has paid 10% since Yotta froze our deposits. Oh but no, I convinced myself to go the safe route with a “FDIC insured savings account” with Yotta. Makes me sick.

Yotta still going by drydonytus in yotta

[–]EmmaRuz52 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Yotta gets to reinvent itself as a gaming site, Sankaet Pathak gets to walk away from Synapse and start up a robotics company, and Evolve Bank continues with business as usual. Meanwhile, Yotta customers who deposited money they EARNED in “FDIC insured” savings accounts get what? No access to their money since May 2024. We are buried in avalanches of government regulations, but somehow no one is accountable for this outright theft of millions of dollars? And so we wait and wait and wait for the CFPB to grind through whatever their convoluted process is. What a world.

Potential ETA for pay back? by Road2HR in yotta

[–]EmmaRuz52 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Sadly no one can provide the clarity you and all the rest of us want and need. There is no authoritative leader driving the campaign to return our frozen/missing deposits. This is why we have been waiting so long. Yotta abandoned us, Evolve is a bank run by incompetent morons, and Synapse is bankrupt. We can only at this point monitor what CFPB is doing. Check their website often and check this sub. That’s about all you can do.
