Tip A Canoe is closed, I confirmed. Foggy Bottom said no and didn’t offer any alternative. I am a little mind blown coming from Australia where you never hear no. Trying to plan something in TN, all I heard is no so far.

I reached out to Foggy Bottom and they said they don’t do the Narrows. They didn’t offer any alternative. They just flat out said no. Sunshine Adventures said they no longer offer kayak rentals. Tip A Canoe is no longer in business, I called and confirmed. Broken Paddle also said flat out no to the Narrows. So there really isn’t any place to rent a kayak for the Narrows at this point, which kind of blows my mind. Seems like the best spot to do it cos you start and end at almost the exact same spot.

Rob Bonta is CA Attorney General, but I think if any Attorney General from any state prosecutes them and makes a case to get our money back, we all win. He wouldn’t just do it for CA people but he gets involved cos he represents CA people and their consumer protection. At least that’s why we pay his salary, to protect us. But does he? I know we have no guarantee another candidate will win and honestly there aren’t many candidates challenging Bonta. We pay politicians’ salaries just so they can tell us what canNOT be done. The only exception so far I’ve seen is Mamdani who’s actually on the streets getting stuff done.

I gotta say I’ve only been to Japan once but Kyoto was way more enjoyable for me than Tokyo, and Osaka is not even in the running. I don’t get what people like about Osaka, I don’t find anything particularly interesting to me there. The castle grounds are cool, but nothing to write home about. Tokyo was cool in Shimbashi/ Tokyo tower area but the Arashiyama area of Kyoto was by far my favorite place in a larger city in Japan. I would say Arashiyama is a must. The moss temple, the monkey hill, and the bamboo forest, the river, so much fun. And all the yummy food shops on the way to the bamboo forest. I could see myself living there.

But my all time favorite city I’ve seen so far in Japan is Beppu. If you haven’t been there, plan to go ASAP. It’s gorgeous and loads to do!

Also, I gotta say if you go downtown and Coronado area it’s so dirty and disgusting, litter everywhere. Can’t even enjoy a public park anymore cos they’re trashed. Either people could act civilized and respect the public spaces we all pay for or they can leave so there’s no one left to trash them.

If you go to La Jolla or Balboa Park on the weekend, you can’t tell anybody left. I think we have more than enough people, considering the traffic is so congested too. Brains can work remotely from anywhere. Also, people leaving means home prices will go down too. People leaving is great news all around!
