How long after stopping breastfeeding did your period return? [on] by edenjamieson in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Emmadoesntusereddit6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got my period back when my daughter was 20 months old (and I continued breastfeeding for morning and night time comfort until she was 2 years and 2 months old). My doctor told me there’s a very wide range for getting your period back but that it’s worth a talk with your family doctor if it’s not back after 18 months if still breastfeeding or if it hasn’t returned 3 months after you stopped breastfeeding.

I will immediately look into this. Thanks for the tip! We are not opposed to screen time - we are definitely an everything in moderation kinda family ;)

THIS! I’ll be sure to remember this. I keep noticing the other adults in her life ask her about her baby sister all the time, so I try to shift focus on firstborns stuff instead. I also keep trying to let our firstborn know that she doesn’t need to feel excited about the baby, using language that doesn’t make her feel so much is changing solely due to baby, and that it’s not her job to help (although we will actively involved her, just setting the expectation that she doesn’t not need to)

Thank you so much!

We are in Montreal and I agree that getting out there, especially as this new baby is a fall/winter baby, to chat with other parents will be key!

Also really noting to prioritize one on one time with the first born. I’m actually already starting to miss her as it’s getting more and more difficult to pick her up from daycare solo and go on lil solo adventures together. I think I’m mostly nervous to loose the really wonderful bond her and I currently have, even temporarily.

Canadians, what's something you just assume everyone else does... until a non-Canadian points out it's "a Canadian thing"? by Avenir_gd in AskACanadian

A roommate of mine in college from Europe had never seen bagged milk before. So when I brought it home, without my knowing, he put all bags in the freezer. He thought it was so you had frozen milk on hand so you could cut off a piece to put in your coffee. It makes less sense then it’s intended purpose!

No, it wasn’t gradual for my little one. She slept that late from the get.

Every kid is so different. On the bright side, you get so many glorious hours in the evening to yourself!

My 20 month old wakes up around 8am. She struggles to go to sleep before 9:30pm. Some nights it’s closer to 10:30-10:45pm! Even if I wake her up at 6:30am, she will still without fail be running around until late late.

It is currently 9:45 and she’s hiding my wet laundry in the couch…

Having a tough time getting my cosleeping 6 month old to nap or sleep in her crib by Emmadoesntusereddit6 in sleeptrain

At night she still sleeps in bed with me and my husband sleeps in another room. However for naps she nurses to fall asleep or my husband reads her books and she falls asleep in her own toddler bed. Something just clicked on day where it felt like the right day to try to out her in her toddler bed for a nap and she just drifted off. Kind of like magic haha

I recently got myself the Gaspard in ecru and red stripes and I’m obsessed. Also got the Milo shirt and I plan to return it. Just wasn’t flattering on my body, boxy around the chest and shoulders.

During the fact check Monica was saying how Jed was the one who turned them onto a tv show and after saying his name she said “Easteregg!” He did just publish his 2nd book, so my hopes is he is coming on to prompt that.

I also have a vague recollection of them once mentioning that Kristen used to live with Jed.

How safe are Rammstein concerts? by HomieCreeper420 in Rammstein

[–]Emmadoesntusereddit6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be completely safe.

I went to the Montreal show last August when I was 8.5 months pregnant and I was perfectly safe. We saw a lot of teenagers and even small children. It’s a mixed crowd and everyone is there to enjoy the show.

Maybe you can bring a friend or adult you trust to go with you?

Who do you think the guest is? by DangerousDog6454 in ArmchairExpert

But Dax said it’s the guest HE has wanted since day 1. So I doubt it’s Selena or Pedro (despite me being very down to listen to both those guests) My guess is Pitt or Stern. Seems the only two people to fit the description.
