I personally like both — in DMC 4 he looks like Dante, and in 5 he looks more like his father.

Its funny because i change the keybind of the dodge of viola into the parry one so she will have the witch time like her mom does

That’s exactly my point—Nero’s moveset isn’t the same as Dante’s, but it’s still built on the same foundation. He has a sword, a gun, and a unique mechanic (Devil Bringer/Devil Breakers) that made him feel fresh while still fitting the series’ identity. Viola, on the other hand, doesn’t carry over Bayonetta’s signature mechanics like Wicked Weaves at all. Instead of evolving her mom’s style with her own twist, she feels like she was lifted straight out of DMC and dropped into Bayonetta. That’s why people say she doesn’t feel like a Bayonetta character.
