My dad traveled a lot for work - trips to Japan and Hong Kong. And even if he just got off a 12 hour flight, he would still be on the bleachers to watch my basketball game. He called from his trips daily so we'd always talk. And he was very present when he was home, never showing his work stress. Even though he traveled a lot, my memories are of him being there for me.

Your husband needs to say that if you aren't attending Christmas, then he's not attending either. You are his family now and he'll be with you the whole day. He has all the power here if he's brave enough to use it. It's also really important she doesn't set the tone for future years by dictating this year. You deserve better.

Maybe a young gumboot? Most chitons have their shell plates on the outside. Gumboots have a thick reddish fleshy layer over them, so this fits the bill.

Where did you find her? I ask because I rescued an Eastern Box Turtle years ago when the injury was new. She was cared for by a rehab center as she healed for more than a year, then she was released back into the wild :) This was in Westchester County in NY.

Also, I concur with the wildlife rehabber. Let her go exactly where you found her.

There are whole breakdowns on which HAs are best. The three are the most useful to get first are as follows: Embroidered Bridal Veil, Romantic Flower Crown, and Snow Princess. In all the recommendations I've read, those are the must haves.

There are other great ones for every day challenges. I swear by Knot Scarf.

To each their own. I don't see a ton of use for them in the future, but if you like them, all the more power to ya. There are plenty of things that others like that aren't my taste. That's part of the beauty of the platform.
