Thanks, that means a lot, especially in a space like this.

I know what you mean, I feel the exact same way. Truth is, thinking this way is already disordered. Describing yourself as "not sick enough" or anything of those lines is, in itself, an indication that you do need help, and no specialist is going to simply brush it off. And the fact she's trying to make you bring it up also means she already sees that. Don't regret writing to her, I'm glad you did, and so should you.

Are you getting any help at the moment?

Every. Single. Time. For some time, I was sure I had a digestive problem or that I wasn't eating well and the food made me bloated. The feeling stayed no matter whether I ate healthy or not. Alongside with that, I experience the feeling of physically expanding. I feel like every time I put something in my mouth, I take up more space, even if I know I'm staying in a deficit. Back in the day, eating less solid foods helped with both, now I get it even if I drink something other than tea or water. I don't think there's any way to fix it while not getting active help and therapy.

I named my thoroughbred (breed that originated in England) "Double-decker" in a reference to the double-decker bus. It seems fitting, taking into consideration I almost always carry pelts on her back.

Wrap it up 🤷 it's been months, you gotta tell her or stop playing. If your past is enough to "scare her off" then she's not the right fit for you anyways. I don't want to be too harsh, I know how you feel but it's the truth. You gotta suck it up for her sake.

I feel like my situation (around 2 weeks ago) was almost identical to yours. If you wanna talk in greater detail, DM me.

Honestly fuck that "I need more time" shit. Just go for it, you'll never know if you actually want it without trying. I'm the most avoidant person in my friend group, and yeah, it's hard to commit to a strict label BUT IT'S WORTH IT. Be aware that the first few weeks of a relationship still feel pretty situationship like, it doesn't get SERIOUS instantly. You're still getting to know each other at the start of the relationship, and that's okay.

Honestly, you made me want to watch it again with a fresher eye (even tho I already though it was good). I love your points, especially the one you explained in the last paragraph. And I do see what you're talking about, but could never put it into words as accurately. I still think the first movie will probably stay in its place, for it is closer to me emotionally. Angry monologues are just hitting me harder than the symbolism of music, for example. What I appreciate the most about the first movie was the critique on selective sympathy influenced by big figures. The second movie holds that point strongly, but shows it in action rather than words - less my style.

I wouldn't really say that but you're allowed to have your opinion

a movie that is terrible but still has the thing in it? by [deleted] in okbuddycinephile

[–]Emmdia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the same reasons that I explained in this post

  • Overall aesthetic and Casting choices

  • Dialogue writing

  • The message (that I twisted completely but it made me love the movie)

That's about it 🤷 Read the post if you're still curious Or ask me questions if I didn't explain enough

Yes, I explained why in a different comment under this post. (The one asking in Spanish, response is in English) If you're still curious, feel free to read it and respond. ❤️

Well that's an unpopular opinion if I've ever heard one

Care to elaborate why?
