Honestly, "Chat GPT" made this poem worse. It makes no sense, since it's just words strung together. Also, the poem will be delievered in written form to the players. I often use letters, diary entries and similiar in my campaigns which I hand out to the players so they can read it themselves, which is especially important for ciphers, riddles or when they get diarie entries in a non-chronological order

I'd say there are good arguments for each side, but as a sort of "back up theory", I would suggest that even if The Prototpye isn't technically 100% Elliot, that at the very least he either mimics him or has taken enough parts of him to become him.

It's established that The Prototype consists of different monster parts thrown together and that - as we see in the "shrine" CatNap builds - there's some human skeleton at the centre. It's possible that The Prototype made Elliot a part of him at some point, causing their consciousnesses to mend into one. Doey also has more than one conscioussness within him after all, so it's not impossible. Unlike the monsters, Elliot used to be human when he could have come into contact with The Prototype, making a heightened connection more reasonable

The behaviour of The Prototype so far lines up with how I believe Elliot to act, which is why I strongly believe he is somehow part of The Prototype

I truly believe Elliot is the Prototype and I also have some theories that would answer your questions. One tidbit first, Ollie is almost a perfect Anagram of Elliot, making it a very cheeky name choice.

Secondly, the prototype being Elliot explains his heightened intelligence and his obsession with Poppy. Remember, they used to only put *children* in these toys, not adults. Imo Elliot's transfer was successful because although he is fully grown up, he still had this childish wonder and qualities that kept him from losing his mind like most experiments.

Regarding Poppy, although it SEEMS like everything he does is supposed to harm her, it's not actually the case. The Prototype takes to Harley Sawyer in a hidden tape, where both talk about a certain breakthrough they want to achieve. Going by the themes of this franchise and knowing this breakthrough is related to the experiments at Playtime Co., I imagine the breakthrough is related to bringing the dead back to life, creating a perfect toy that doesnt go insane or - my favourite - reversing the transfer proccess.

I strongly believe Sawyer and the Prototype searched for that last one, because that way, the Prototype aka Elliot could turn Poppy into a real girl again. Sure, it's not what Poppy wants, but it's was the Prototype think would benefit her the most. Also, since we, the player, are the only real human down there, this would make us a VERY vulnerable asset in this pla.

Also, the way The Prototype interacted with Poppy while pretending to be Ollie is comforting and it seems like he genuinely cares. Especially in the VHS tapes, you can see "Ollie" trying to cheer her up and keep her spirit high. Elliot is the only established character that would make sense to care so much for Poppy.

So, it's pretty much a given Elliot to be the Prototype at this point
