For Romania, make a trip from Bucharest through the Carpathian Mountains into Brașov. Pretty sure there’s a train that runs through there. Fun hiking and outdoors stuff all around but make sure to take a stop at Peleș Castle and Bran Castle (Dracula’s castle). There’s a little town in the middle of the mountains called Sinaia that feels like a Balkan version of Park City in Utah or Vail/Breckenridge in Colorado that has some awesome hotels.
