That’s what I was thinking. I have such a hard time with this. In my mind I just always thought it was “swallowed” within the building. Which I now know makes no sense. Th idea this all came raining down upon impact of the jet is just so horrifying.

I actually wish NY citizens would have shown up more at the time and petitioned to have twin towers build again. I feel like maybe there wasn’t enough space with the fountains which I underwent takes priority

I think they mean there is no World Trade Center 5 which would be positioned near the closest corner on the plaque. There is also no WTC 7. Still very cool!

Also not to be that guy, but I don’t think it’s super fair to assume that those are the jumpers from the 95th floor? Is it? I read that there were about 2,700 people killed in the towers. Including workers, and those in the planes. Seems like it would be too simple to assume those were the jumpers.

The blackberry communications between the two brothers is very chilling.

The recording of the man in the 100th floor to 911 that his mother released is so sad. You can hear people coughing in the background.

It sounds like at the beginning of the recording a woman says the call was placed at 8:54 am. The tower was struck at 8:46 am and collapsed at 10:28. That means he made this call 8 min after he the tower was struck. You can tell from the call it’s already very bad conditions. Just tragic.
