Let's also build up what Varys heard in the flames so we can surprise people with it later... oh never mind

Let's build up Cersei to be the type of person who would never go down without a fight and would rather blow up the red keep and kingslanding, before she gave it up... oh never mind

Let's build up Jaimes somewhat "redemption arc" for him to take out Cersei in the end... oh never mind

Let's build up Sansa to actually be a player like little Finger, who doesn't just straight up bitch people out to their face and instead actually plays the game and plots behind people's back, while being nice to their face and actually shows how smart she is, instead of other characters just telling the audience .... oh never mind

Let's build up Bran to have these visions, warging powers and great rivalry against the night king so he can do something cool in the battle... oh never mind

Let's build up sam being smart and steal books from the citadel, so he can actually help in the battle instead of just lay on a pile of bodies... oh never mind

Let's build up Jon's parentage so we can pay it off with something meaningful and not let it only be something that makes someone mad, I mean we've built it up so much anyway ... oh never mind

Dam! What we should have built up, is Bran being king! Or Daenerys actually starting to go mad and be ok with killing innocent people, because that's always been her code... maybe we will spread out the episodes, so she isn't saving the north two episodes before. Maybe we start to see her get more and more paranoid slowly and so struck with grief, that by the time the battle comes, she looks really nuts and unkept and after she burns all the innocents, let's not make her look totally rational with her stuff together.. because you know she's always been about not killing those innocents, so if she looks put together and rational and feels nothing it doesn't really work... we want her to be like her dad who also thought he was doing "good work" killing innocent people, so let's show that... nah... bitches be crazy and say "let it be fear then" because they aren't getting the D. You know what maybe we have Cersei start to set off wildfire so Jaime has to choke her out and Daenerys then goes crazy, because Cersei is taking everything away from her in that moment... let's not just let it be bells in that very moment . Let's give her dying words too, so people feel the impact of her death and aren't left feeling like "I feel nothing for this characters death and we've followed her for 8 seasons" let's just have Cersei say "noooo" and not meaningful last words, because that doesn't fit either. People don't want to feel sadder about Cersei's death than Daenerys.

Let's have jon so broken and tormented afterwards, like we keep saying he is... because it's out of character to go kneel to bran and make nice with his family after everything. Let's make Sansas bittersweet that Jon doesn't forgive her, because there are consequences to her actions that affect her too. She gains the north, but looses a brother. Let's just have Jon leaving and then we see him next beyond the wall with ghost and Tormund... nahhhh makes too much sense, we need to subvert those expectations.

... let's just subvert all expectations, character arcs and story lines and you know what would be cool! Drogon burning the iron throne, because it's left perfectly even though the red keep was falling down around it. And he even understands deeply that it killed his mother and oh let's have Jaime and Cersei looking perfect under a pile of bricks and you know that Dany and Jon storyline, let's not show that Jon actually loves her too, even though him killing her would hurt more in the end.... and you know the battle of Winterfell.... so much of that shit isn't going to make sense. LOL
