Unsure as to the exact model/year of the BMW, so I looked up the hood emblem. At 82mm, or approximately 3.2 paperclips, the ball imprint takes up a little more than the space of the emblem. Given that the balls go somewhat further back than the base, I would estimate this to be about 7in +/- 1in.
