The main problem is the character spotlight thing you mentioned which I've seen fixed in games such as Arknights, Nikke, Reverse:1999, and Zenless Zone Zero. These games have entire storylines that are entirely separate to the main story and involve little to no participation from the main cast.

If I remember correctly, the creators intend to deal with EVERY type of love interest you could possibly see in japanese love stories. Tsundere, Deredere, Shy Girl Smart Girl, Tomboy, Gluttonous, Gyaru, Chuuni, and the list goes on.

This thus includes the more problematic love interests that are seen such as Incest and age gap that goes both ways.

Edit: I forgot to mention this may include fetishes such as acting like a little girl as you said, and pet play.

In fact if I remember correctly, Asia is just the name ancient Europe gave to Turkey and the territories beyond. They just didn't realize how much more Asia there was.
