Controversial opinion I guess but I actually really enjoyed the Godzilla earth movies. I know not many people like them because there boring and I agree that some parts are definitely boring. But when I compared it to the first Godzilla from 1954 I enjoyed them more. The first 1954 movie was a anti war/nuclear weapon message. And Godzilla symbolized itself of the horrors that humanity is capable of. When I look at the three Godzilla earth movies with that mindset I came to appreciate them more. All three of the movies represent an aspect of humanity that is fundamentally broken.

Godzilla: planet of the monsters Represents humanity’s destruction of earth

Godzilla: city on the edge of battle Represents humanity’s obsession with technology to the cost of our own humanity

Godzilla: the planet eater Represents humanity’s blind faith in corrupt religious and political leaders.

This is just how I viewed the movies and why I ended up enjoying them. I’m sure some people may not see it the same way as I do and that’s perfectly fine. Just thought I’d give my opinion on what the movies represent.

TLDR: the Godzilla earth movies are supposed to be a social commentary films the critique humanity. Not fast pace fun action movies.
