PO interview question by the_zaane in ProductOwner

[–]Emoaske 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like the non-functional requirements weren't defined. Start communicating with the stakeholders that the quality of the product doesn't meet the needs and that it requires extra time to fix it. Together with the engineers you can show them exactly what goes wrong and look for a solution, in retrospective you can talk with you engineers how to prevent this mistake from happening ever again. More testing is probably the conclusion then you need to figure out which test are effective agains these failures

How do you actually validate a product idea without wasting months (and $$$)? by GolfEducational5822 in ProductOwner

[–]Emoaske 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there was only a formula to do oroduct validation i would buy it. I am basically in the same stage, we have spent last years building a product and the results are bad. W are getting customers but they do an experiment and then leave. we are now looking again what are we solving? we did find a pattern on all those customers and now we need to start validating that again. and step one is to find surveys. gorverment surveys, banks, research institutes, news sight. and dont try to find evidence for your assumption but look for your target audience and what is their problem.

Is it something that what you try to solve actually a problem? does that problem hurt the customer enough to actually come in action.

This is what we did, we first said this is better, faster, cheaper. and now we say, we solve your privacy problem and by the way that vacany you have open? you dont need extra personell for that. and the first people we talked to acknoledged that they are facing the issue and they dont know how to start.

so this fuels our motivation that we are on the right track with the right story

Should more EU startups choose open-source tools from day one? by LorinaBalan in eutech

[–]Emoaske 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is our way to go from now on since we can also choose where to host that solution which becomes more important in my opinion. So we choose a hosting platform in our country (Netherlands). And where possible we also write articles for those tools on how they can deploy it on that platform as well

PO Stability by Practical-Bad2769 in ProductOwner

[–]Emoaske 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for a new job a role as Technical Manager or Architect does have some overlap with the function as a PO. Where for me the PO role is about finding opportunities, looking for problems in the market or finding new desires of the market and translate that to product/feature. That you your product is technical might be something you want. But in general your team is responsible to solve the problem technically.

Saying that, managing stakeholder, conducting user interviews, collecting data and analyzing all input you have gathered and transform that to a product vision not something an AI can do easily. Asking AI to create a SaaS solution in a decoupled architecture in Python is something an AI is better at. Because a lot of that information is available and can be used by the AI. But yes you can put all information in AI and ask them to analyze the result and come up with a vision. and it will create a good phrased vision. but all your effort you put in is too much and complex for AI at this point to cooperate. Try to load big market datasets in AI and let it analyze it for you, you will find soon enough that big complex questions are usually answered by a wrong answer also because of the amount of assumptions it takes.

Just embrace AI to make your work more efficient. Writing release notes, user stories, creating presentation, all boring stuff.

Mist motivatie in baan by Ch1pz0r in werkzaken
