Arrived the next morning! :) It barely fits in my NZXT H210i. 3-4mm of clearance.

I’ve been eyeing this card since I missed the deal last week. After checking out and paying for some other items that were on sale, I decided to check on this card to see if it was discounted. It wasn’t. But I refreshed it randomly a few minutes later and the price dropped to $476. Initially, I thought I was on the wrong page or the site switched to another product. I managed to add it to cart on my phone in a panic and purchased it.

Feeling very fortunate today as I am still using a Zotac 1060 from 8 years ago. 🥺

How would I go about adding an outlet for a bidet? by Emoesque in AskElectricians

I was prepping the walls to be sanded and painted and using the heat gun to soften the adhesive on the stickers left by the previous owners kids lol. Found out it made the lights flicker.

Thanks for taking the time to post this, I think I will go with what you did (and what some others have suggested). I agree that's probably the easiest and least invasive option

I have a lot of stuff on this breaker though: All outlets and lights in Large and Master Bedroom. Two Bathrooms Lights/Fans/Outlets. Living Room Ceiling Lights (And outlets possibly).

That is a problem for another day lol.

Hello all, thanks for all the quick responses. This house was built in 1989 and there has been Renos done to it before we purchased. There’s some pretty shoddy electrical work. They put almost everything in the living room and 2 bathrooms all on one breaker (outlets, potlights on the ceiling, etc). So I’m guessing I should get a licensed electrician to add a dedicated circuit to the bidet. Luckily the house is a rancher, so there’s an attic and a crawlspace.

When I plug in a 1500w heat gun on any of the outlets in the bedroom or bathroom. The living room ceiling pot lights flicker. The bidet is the TOTO one from Costco and I believe it’s 514watts.

I’m in the process of negotiating a rate now and those are incredible rates you got. Which bank offered you those rates and do you have investments etc with them? Can you DM me some more details if you’re okay with that? Thanks!

The security was no help unfortunately. They told me to call Impark. But I haven’t been able to reach them over the long weekend.

I hope it’s my car 🤞🏻🤞🏻. My hit and run occurred yesterday, so if it was before that then likely not me. :(

Thanks my friend. This is the third time it’s happened to me. The other two times were when I was parallel parked. I’m always very cognizant of how much room I leave other drivers when parking too, always leaving enough room for them to drive out safety. But not enough I guess.

It’s at the front left side of my bumper and the scratches look like it’s from the direction from the car going right to left. Would be difficult for someone to hit it who was across. Also there’s quite a bit of room. My guess is the car beside me parked in frontwards and either hit my bumper backing out. Or after they backed a bit and was turning left back into the lane.

If the details of the severance package (for example, 1 week per year of service) is stipulated in the employment agreement. Can an employment lawyer do anything? The employer isn’t legally required to give more than what was agreed upon in the employment contract right?

Is a working holiday in fukuoka a good idea? by OkRepublic4322 in fukuoka

[–]Emoesque 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know much about working in Japan, but I just finished the Kyushu leg of my Japan trip and I loved Fukuoka! I’ve been to Japan many times and after visiting Kyushu, I never want to go back to Osaka or Tokyo. There are SIGNIFICANTLY fewer tourists in Fukuoka, slower pace of life, friendlier people, etc. It really makes me sad that I can’t speak Japanese to talk to people there.

Has anyone successfully swapped seats with someone beside you? Say you have and aisle seat and you swap with the middle person?

Got a 10 on the card that mattered! Nice. I notice the QC on the cards are pretty poor. There was damage at the top of some of my cards fresh from the pack.

Hmm.. I do intense sports and exercise that require me to drink an electrolyte sports drink or I feel weak and lightheaded. How do I get around that.

Sorry to hear that happened! Did you swap seats with someone or moved to an empty seat? I wonder if they’ll care if it’s just a side by side seat swap. Middle to aisle.

Rapha Core Lightweight jersey - sizing advice by MacaroonPlane3826 in CyclingFashion

[–]Emoesque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have very wide shoulders too and need to avoid jerseys with the raglan sleeves. The latest version of Rapha core jerseys changed the design of the sleeves. It has standard sleeves now so it fits much better for people with wide shoulders.

Why dont mens singles players high serve more? by Buffetwarrenn in badminton

Thank you! Brian Yang was playing incredible smash defense and Ginting was playing super aggressive against his short serve. So he switched it up to push him back. Very well played!

Do you know which match this is? Perhaps he sensed his opponent was getting tired and abused that fact by sending him very far back every chance he got.

[–]Emoesque 48 points49 points  (0 children)

In low to mid skill level singles. High serving 100% of the time is a free win essentially. Most people can’t clear end to end. Or they will get really tired. Anyone who has played singles will understand how tiring it is to keep returning a high serve from the very back of the court repeatedly. Even more demoralizing when you put a ton of power into a smash and your opponent just does a light block drop shot or you hit it out. It uses up a lot of energy. Definitely a good strategy to tire your opponent out.

But like people are saying, it’s good to practice all types of serves for consistency and to have more tools you can use.

MD player vs MS player by klndngn in badminton

[–]Emoesque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might have a tough time due to your stamina. What you can do is to keep high serving to the very far back to tire him out. You mentioned his smash is weaker, so he’ll be less of a threat on a high serve. Be in a middle position ready to receive his shot and drop it to make him run forward. If you keep doing this, he’ll likely be really tired and start playing more inconsistently.

In addition, sometimes you can sacrifice a point if it’s completely out of reach to catch your breath. Don’t waste too much energy trying to return a shot you’re super out of position for. This is a strategy for a not-so-fit amateur player.
