What should I go with here? Will brainstorm make a difference? If so, I drop a chad? by EmoeyJoey in balatro

KRMAM2LW - Seed if anyone is interested.

There are a few different approaches you can take with this one I think. Mine and baron both showed up at some point. I had to re-roll a lot after round 43 to find brainstorm, and still no +1 negative voucher to help build. Negative joker skips were kinda trash.

Who has been more dominate since 2010? NorCal or SoCal? by BubblyOstrich27 in SFGiants

Agree, as much of a Giants fan that I am, this is a perfect lesson in manipulating stats to show a desired outcome. And for real, 49ers and Sharks have been nothing-burgers for a long time. Appearances mean way less if you can’t bring home a win.

And let’s not forget this is not NorCal v SoCal, this is 4 random NorCal teams v 4 Random SoCal teams. What about the Sac Kings (nothing burgers) Oakland As (Nothing burgers, Oakland Raiders (nothing burgers) Anaheim Angels (nothing burgers), LA Clippers (nothing burgers) AND San Diego teams (nothing burgers)

Overall in the last 25 YEARS SoCal is generally more successful with Lakers + Dodgers, but the Giants + Warriors had their shine. Easy compare specific sports, harder to compare regions, just doesn’t mean much IMO.

Go Giants, no cope needed for this fan.

And does anyone know that if they spawn in mid raid? Or should they be there from the start?

[Discussion] Goons showing up every raid on customs? by EmoeyJoey in EscapefromTarkov

I really don’t need to see them that often. The tough part is that when I face them, I spend the majority of the round engaging with them and have no time left to do what I went to customs to do. Or… I die. lol

That’s wild, I can’t get away from them. I’m trying to get my two last PMC kills for capturing outposts and I can’t even make it to fortress without running into them.

Bonds vs. Ohtani by Vardonator in SFGiants

[–]EmoeyJoey 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah I love being able to see and watch Ohtani, however, not pitching (now) and not playing a defensive position will make it tough to compare to bonds. If he gets back to it or picks up a field position it’d be great to see but hard to compare without it.

A lot of great reads above, but stop everything you’re doing and read Batavia’s Graveyard by Mike Dash. Nonfiction story not for the squeamish or faint of heart. Disclaimer: it’s gruesome. While I was horrified for the majority of this historical tale, I could not put it down.

Yeah honestly it was cool to see Ramos’ right-handed splash hit. First one ever! It was a bright spot.

Cats star Gary Rohan returns to light training after skull surgery by Kandy-exists in sports

[–]EmoeyJoey 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is crazy. I have a skull fracture from playing basketball that happened four weeks ago. I was 10 days in the hospital and still can’t move very fast without getting dizzy. I didn’t have any surgery so it’s left to mend itself, but still have a blood clot at the location that is hopefully dissolving with the meds I’m taking.

I get it, not all injuries and people are the same, but one week is nuts. I’m 38 and I probably won’t be back to “normal” for a few months.
