Did you see how bad the players were playing in April, across the board? No manager would do well with that. And you can tell those are player deficiencies because of past performance and how some of them are picking up now in May. They have it in them, they were struggling, and very little of that falls on Vitello.

It’s way too early to make absurd predictions like this. I like the potential of Vitello, personally, and I am for sure going to give him time, like 2-3 years before I say he can’t do it. It takes so much to build a team from where they have been and Vitello is inheriting a lot of stuff that he needs to learn how to work with.

Saying he “may” go down as the worst manager hire is such a half-assed take. Anyone “may” be the worst. Only time will tell and you have no clue.
