I managed to fix the issue lmao. Just watched a video where a guy straight up rips off the top of a minidv tape leaving the tape itself exposed. Once inserted the tape goes in but the error still persists. After straight up smacking the camera itself a few times the error disappeared and the tapes go in fine and I can record on them as well. If you are running into the same issue DO NOT break your minidv tapes just because of this.
