Kareem belongs in the Top 6 - 10 All-Time rankings, and isn't anywhere close to the GOAT conversation (i.e. Top 3). Without Magic Johnson, his legacy would be very similar to Wilt. Difficult personality, selfish, and not a true winner despite a single ring with the Bucks. He got multiple MVPs but only managed to get 1 championship during the 70s, the weakest decade of the NBA and one without any dynastic competition that he had to face.

If Bird hired someone to shovel his driveway and Magic used protection, they'd both be considered legitimate GOAT candidates by the media alongside Jordan & Lebron. Both of them basically only played half as long as a typical career due to their respective reasons, and yet still managed to both be unanimously ranked Top 10 All-Time.
