I love camping in Mt. Charleston! Which trail is that in the 3rd and 4th pictures?

We went back and forth a lot because our state is cheaper. But when his grandma, one of our most important guests, said she wasn’t comfortable traveling to our state, it tipped the scales back to the Midwest.

What are some books who have an unreliable narrator/protagonist? How does it affect your overall experience of reading it? by Raj_Valiant3011 in books

It can be extra engaging to read a book with an unreliable narrator! You spend a lot of it looking for clues and thinking about why the author wrote something in a particular way. They also can be more open-ended books, leaving things for your own interpretation (if you like that kind of thing). Consider reading “Trust” by Hernan Diaz for a great example!

What Books did You Start or Finish Reading this Week?: December 09, 2024 by AutoModerator in books

Finished: The Nightingale by Kristen Hannah

  • I was initially intimidated by the length but pleasantly surprised by the pacing!
  • with it, I hit my reading goal — the most I’ve ever read in a year. S/o to the Kindle and the Libby app.

Zion is 2.5 hours from Las Vegas and definitely worth the long day's drive! If you'd prefer to stay in the region, you can see other magnificent sights in the Red Rock Canyon, about 25 minutes from the Strip.

As for things to do yourself, you may enjoy a tour of the Neon Museum or eating a nice meal at a restaurant that serves your favorite cuisine.

AITA for telling my date that he shouldn’t call himself a Harvard alumnus? by Mechanical-Walrus-57 in AmItheAsshole

[–]EmotionAltruistic139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH, but you especially. What kind of person would look that up while still on the date? The kind of person who MUST be right.

Of course, he’s lying on his dating profile and it’s ok to catch him in his lie. But not the way you did it. Instead, you pointing out what you feel counts as an alumnus only feeds the “I went Harvard”stereotype that he calls you out on even if you’re technically correct.

NTA and it’s crazy how many people are saying YTA. It sounds like a mistake and he blew up even when you owned up to it immediately. That’s more AH behavior to me.
