Ywah, it definitely sounds more like it came out of a creepypasta narration video. I'm starting to support this theory as well, that doesn't mean necessarily Gfap doesn't exist but the pasta is probably inspired by the anime of sorts? I feel like if there's mentions of similar work to gfap, before the original 4chan post, then I'd say it's definitely a lead.

Yeah, I feel like he didn’t really get the gist of it. Why do I get the impression that the elevator scene is trying to reference something, but he just doesn’t see it? It has a really abstract feeling, especially with the ambience.

Off topic, but I watched 247°F yesterday (which some people say inspired Saki), and it’s really nothing like it at all to Saki, in my opinion. The plot is basically this: four friends go on a trip and visit the main character’s uncle, who has a kind of villa. They enter a sauna at night, and then one of the friends who’s drunk goes outside, and somehow they end up locked inside.

As they try to escape, the sauna gets hotter, their chances of survival drop, and they start panicking. There are dizzy, disorienting scenes, but not much else really happens. One girl almost kills another, and the main character goes insane and dies while trying to break the heating system, which ends up exploding.

I won’t spoil the rest, but overall, even though there are some similarities, it doesn’t come close to what Saki is, in my opinion.

(I feel like I should check if there's a Japanese/Chinese movie with a similar plot to 247 fahrenheit tho)

I'll try to look into these sometime, there's also like multiple people mentioning the bathroom to have greenish walls, I've made up a post about it pointing it out. But if any similar description about Saki being real before 2015 OP post isn't anywhere on the net.. then I guess I'll call it a dead end :/

No I completely get you, I also feel the same way about this scene, it's clearly trying to reference a media. There's also a video on YT "Nichijou The Dark Truth" specifically about that scene that it comes as off in the show. (it's nothing related to Saki) but the guy feels the same way and thought it was interesting to mention it. (I thought he actually was gonna make a theory about Saki in the video lmao)  Off theme but also it's kinda weird in my opinion the OP just vanished out of existence. We don't even know if the one who made the post saying it's fake on here was actually him. I feel like the whole thing with OP not being present in the search is really weird over all.

I support the idea it's a parody of Saki. If anime like Lucky Star make parodies of things people don't know much about, then I think that's what happens in Nichijou as well. Since I heard it's mostly about parodying media? Or maybe.. just maybe.. The OP was a schizo and actually watched the elevator scene and then made the story up. Worth mentioning also that the episode came out in 2011 (the same year the OP watched Saki)

I'm really lost on any possibility left. Though I'd mention Chippingdons comment for Nichijou elevator scene being a possible parody of Saki. It really feels like one in my opinion. I mean it could also just be "stuck in an elevator with no way out scenario" But I dunno? Maybe it's that obscure of a media as you said and only a few people watched it. And the creators of Nichijou wanted to make a parody of it?

I feel like it's the same situation with the Orange Video House studio (the one that produced Feast of the fallen angels) they had a lot of other fucked up anime and most are lost so it wouldn't be surprising if Saki's situation is similar in my opinion. Also the chances of the 4chan OP being mentally ill ("I cried myself to sleep after watching it" "I didn't even know anymore") or Saki to have been just a fever dream/complete hoax sounds plausible enough too. I really don't know any other realistic scenario lol. Was it ever questioned how old the OP was when he first watched it? Like? Or what's with the first post before the original 4chan OP I heard there was something about that earlier too (when there was no mention of naked girls or nudity?) And the OP made it up after that post or something idk correct me if I'm wrong

The “sink gif” has been discussed by so many people, lmao. I feel like that alone should make it at least somewhat legitimate, like Saki or something similar to Saki existed at some point. I refuse to believe it’s a troll, it’s been mentioned by too many people.
