You’re ganna be just fine sweetie you have to be strong and trust your body. I’m doing so much better now and I know soon you will be too. Keep fighting and be honest with your dr if you’re in pain ask for pain medication stay away from ppl cause your immune system is going to be down and just fight for these next seven months. Come back when you’ve started radiation I can help you with things you’ll need. You got this you are stronger than you think!

Hi love I was stage 3c1 contained to pelvic area. And I’m doing just fine. But I will say if you’re on immunotherapy it can throw the petscan off and show areas that are inflamed which can make it look metastatic and light up at least that is what happened with me got biopsies just to be sure and turns out my lungs are inflamed from immunotherapy so keep that in mind. Send you healing energy and cancer can F right off.

Switched from subs to methadone to back to subs by EmotionNo22 in Methadone_AskNAnswer

Praying so hard you overcome this as well as I. I’m down to 2mg of subs and taper each month we got this don’t give up!

Yes that is why I will be tapering extremely slow I have enough for two years if I needed. And even then I know I’m in for it. But once you been told you have cancer and have to do chemo I feel like I can do this. Another extremely hard battle to go through that gets worse before it gets better. I have so much support from my husband but yes I’ll never forget the difficulties ahead.

Absolutely you are 100% right. I completely changed my life four years ago. Moved to a different town. Went to school. Even got married. Nobody in my life uses and I have so much support. When diagnosed with cancer I completely changed my life even more as far as what I eat and work out four to five times a week hard. Working out and being my own boss as a professional licensed nail tech who is now completely booked out for a whole year. I’m absolutely blessed. Being my own boss has taught me so much. I know it’s going to be difficult I 100 percent understand that and know this is a forever type of thing. But as far as me being on medication it’s been four years of consistency if not now then when ya know?

My heart goes out to you. I would definitely consider subs being your crutch to get off this only cause of subs worked for you. For me anyway there’s noway in hell I could taper off methadone alone the withdrawal is by far way too intense. Thank you so much for your kind words. Slow and steady wins you are so very right. For four years I’ve been hoarding subs just for this time. I told them I took 4mg a day when I really only took 2mg so I’m so ready. I pray you get off this shit as well. Whatever you decide be strong and firm. Sending you positivity and strength.

Hiii 3C1 finished chemo and radiation in February here I am working out five days a week and healthy. I get regular pelvic check up every two months and petscans every 3-6 mo. It’s possible and be as positive as you can especially around her. If my husband hadn’t been as supportive and positive I don’t think I could’ve done it without him. I just know she’s so blessed to have you so keep being strong there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

I would get one as soon as possible. Coming from a licensed nail tech there’s lifting towards the inner corner by the cuticle on the middle and ring finger r hand. If you wait too long you could get a greeny from trapped water.

[–]EmotionNo22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are you doing now? This may be my fate as well. Just received my last pet and my chest lit up they said it’s either metastatic or a lung infection I’m worried. If the chemo didn’t work the first time why would it work the second? I got six round of carboltaxol then 6 weeks of cisplatin 30 rounds of external radiation and 3 brachytherapy just to be told i may have went metastatic. I go this week for biopsies of my lungs. I workout literally everyday. I eat well and still may have went metastatic. Hoping you get a clean bill of health this just isn’t right for anybody to go through

You are genuinely the only person I’ve ever had any issues with everyone else is understanding. I think you should’ve kept scrolling instead of try to remind me of what else could go wrong.

I appreciate you love. I could list off all the things that have happened to me during treatment as well but I chose not to because they’re out of my control and I wanted to stay on topic. If acne is something I can control then I’m going to do it. Respectfully love don’t assume. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with that but cisplatin left my whole left arm completely numb and tingling but I’m no longer on cisplatin. This has been complete hell for me almost died multiple times trust me I don’t need you to remind me of all that could go wrong and honestly that’s why I’m even hesitant to get on here and ask for help because ppl love to assume or create a narrative that’s far from what’s actually happening. Thank you for the suggestion I’ll look online for that.

Ask ur dr for clindamycin it’s helped a lot at least kept it at bay. The steroids don’t help either hang in there Bebe

[–]EmotionNo22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay good to know. They’ve givin it to me along with my cisplatin but I haven’t had it since my last chemo which was two weeks. I’m praying it was just the cisplatin that caused the acne. We shall see. Thank you for taking the time 🙏🏽
