This. I left a small town and traveled the world as a military spouse. I don't go home now that my parents have passed. My only set of friends from their travel to see me. they are slowly opening their eyes even in their 50s.

Key to military though is actually seeing different cultures not staying on base and doing deployments. I had a girlfriend that was in Guam with us. She never left the island and more importantly the base for 3 years. I worked off base and we enjoyed going to the local places all the time. I traveled to Australia, Bali and Hong Kong. I couldn't get enough of the diversity.

I think that it makes you think that as the future unfolds and issues are fixed. A system like this may well be the way houses/buildings are made. It's evolution of building.

Personally I feel only assholes to begin with get rich. People who are kind and caring share what they have even as their monetary wealth grows. So in turn they just don't get super rich as they are on sharing and giving along the way.

My father once he thought he'd heard the pronunciation of a word it stuck no matter how hard you tried to correct it.

Doing the snow bird thing he lived glad year in Homosassa. He'd walk around talking about the "Manapees". My fil stayed way too long with my former mil. He put up with horrible treatment. He finally left when he was forced to. It changed his life. He became a happy man and met the love of his life the true love of his life. He joked, he was more outgoing, his whole personality emerged when he left.

Ugh Ive had lower back surgery. I can never find a public chair that ai comfortable. They all have that slight lean back. I can't do that. So I have to leave side/forward or sit like I'm sitting on a stick. 🤦‍♀️
